They just told us they use bribery, so normally we would refuse.
But it's possible that someone was try to frame them for bribery, to get Stella to not do business with them, because her moral code is well known and therefore someone could be trying to take advantage of her.

That evening we descend from a coach at the governor's manor, and help our elven princess to descend after us.

The governor's manor is an old, well-kept building near the north of the city, surrounded by large, brightly colored stone hills in dozens of colors, giving it a very solemn yet positive mood. The manor is in the middle of a 'valley' between six such boulders, two of which have been carved into statues by some ancient hand.

Each status is a large scene with half a dozen or more individual figures, though they show a rather common scene, with one showing men walking together while carrying long tools, seemingly talking bfore or after work, and one showing warriors fighting a large furry monster that looks like a bear mixed with a platypus.

"What manner of creature is that?" - asks our princess as she looks at the beartyplus

The governor's butler welcomes us and invites us in. A tall lizardkin man, his head frills are large and wide... it is hard to tell his age, as we are not really that used to his tribe.

"The master will see you soon. Please come this way." - he explains as he leans and gestures towards the main stairs

We thank him, and follow his instructions.

The dining hall is quite long, and the governor meets us standing by his seat, then invites us to sit by his side.

"...please!" - he calls energetically as he gestures to the sats - "I am honored to meet you."
