Your eyes widen seeing that your pc is open to a /pol/ thread about something concerning Corona-chan and Oprah. You rush over to your pc and try to press the power button, but find it extremely difficult due to the size of your paws, as well as having paws in general. When you were about to try with your nose you hear the sound of footsteps approaching your door even closer. Rushing over to the plug keeping your computer powered. You use your mouth and bite down on the cord yanking it out of the socket. Looking up you see the door to your room opening, having no time to hide in your closet you dive underneath your bed and find yourself face to face with some leftover pizza and your special ‘item’.

I’m going to try and get out, maybe we can see if my dad left his phone behind or something… "I need to get out, or I might just eat the pizza under my bed..." you think to your self.

Just like last time in Roxie’s house you try to push against the floor using your back legs and pushing forward with all your strength. Ignoring the feeling in your nether regions as you do this you push back against the floor and with all your strength you are able to push yourself from underneath the bed. In doing so you cause your bed to fly in the air a few inches and crash on its side, knocking everything you had on your bed to the floor. “Yeess! Moving over to what was laying underneath your bed, you kick your ‘special item’ aside and grab a slice of cold pizza. Enjoying the taste of the cold meat-lovers Pizza, but also saddened that you won’t be able to taste it after you change back. Lumi’s ears perk up suddenly and you look over to her, with a mouthful of cold pizza. “Someone is at the door!” Lumi runs out of your room to go see who it is…She quickly returns as you finish the cheesy crust of the cold pizza. “It’s Mia and Beefcake! They are back!” Lumi says.

Beefcake pulls out of the driveway of your house, and floors on the gas pedal. Your father’s engine revs loudly, waking up anyone else in the neighborhood who still may have been asleep. Your face and body are pushed up against the passenger seat as you are throttled down the road. As if the stars have aligned with the road, there are no police officers, nor red lights to stop the rampaging speed of Beefcake’s driving skills. Curious as to how the wind feels you move your head outside of the window, and open your mouth sticking out your tongue, in the rearview mirrors you can see your pudgy cheeks and ears flapping against the wind. Your tongue is flying against it as well. Today while it is sunny, you feel a cool breeze brush against your face….Then you're flung back into the car as Beefcake takes a sharp turn drifting in your father's patriotic monster truck as she hits a conveniently placed wooden ramp flying over several people and Pokemon performing roadwork. The car lands on the road with a large bump as everything shakes. Your dad’s Gardevoir bobblehead shakes rapidly as well.

Beefcake does one more sharp turn drifting into your school’s parking lot. Parallel parking in between two smaller cars without so much of a scratch. Looking at the digital clock you have arrived at school 15 minutes early before the tournament is supposed to start. “Woo!” Beefcake yells then looks over to you, who is still trying to catch your breath. For the last time you hope, you blink and find yourself back in your body. “Alright let's win this tournament!” you declare as you open up your dad’s glove compartment to his monster truck and pull out one of Pedro’s cold meat burritos and begin to eat it getting rid of the poke-speech to talk normally.

You dismount off the monster truck and help Beefcake get down from the driver’s seat. Locking up the monstrous vehicle you begin to walk through the student's parking lot towards your school’s gymnasium. Looking up in the sky several helicopters are flying overhead with the local news broadcast logo on them. Beefcake follows quickly beside you, as you near the gymnasium, immediately you see some major changes to the building compared to when you were last there a couple of days ago. The outside walls are made up of a thick metal, with some special lighting running through the middle to make it appear as something is flowing through the wall. The doors have been replaced with automatic sliding doors that open up for you, as well you can feel a cool air conditioning immediately as you step through.

The bleachers have been replaced with cushioned seating, that you would see at NBA games. The gym floor has been replaced with a sleek metal plating, with a black line dividing the field in half. On the corner of the gym is a small panel, that you don’t know what it is used for. The area is packed with several friends, family, as well as other people anticipating the battles. In the distance, you can see Chad, Roxie, and Sebastian in the distance having a conversation about something. As you begin to walk over towards them a man with a microphone walks up to you. Behind him is a cameraman, pointing it at your direction. “Tell me Virgil Tankerson. You are the crowd favorite to win today’s tournament, what’s driving you to win today? What do you think about the other competitors?” the man asks quickly. Looking to up to your right you see a large screen with your face on it.

He’s standing next to Chad wearing the same type of advertisements, they both seem to be representing and promoting the town's famous local businesses. Lastly, a person is sitting in a corner with a black hoodie on, shuffling a heavy ball between the palms of his hands. You’ve never seen this person, but there is something strangely familiar about him. You can’t see his face.

Pedro the bus driver comes into the locker room. “Ahem Chicos.” Pedro says gathering everyone’s attention. “I’ll help translate…” Sebastian says pinching the bridge of his nose. “The rules are as followed 2v2 single battle elimination, you may change up your team between battles. One item is allowed for use per battle on a Pokemon. Also, something new that was added due to Lance’s generous surprise donation…Every battle’s field will be randomized between a grassy plain, sandy terrain, ice field, and a mystery one that changes based on what Lance wants. The mystery terrain will not be one of the ones I just listed…The first match will be Virgil Tankerson versus…Sora Sky…” Pedro announces with translation from Sebastian.

You step up alongside the fellow nerd that you don’t know much about. You step out into the arena, on the big screen in the gymnasium you see your face along with Raihan’s Gym badge logo, Lance’s name, and some fancy logo that you don’t recognize. You walk to the other side of the gym, and take your place on the opposite side of the field. Sora Sky’s face appears on the screen, Pedro’s Mexican restaurant’s logo appears under his name. A judge comes up to the middle of the field. “As per donation from Lance and request from the Pokemon league, today’s matches will be on a randomized field. The first match will be fought an Ice field!” The judge declares as the arena begins to shake opening up and changing the arena in front of you. An ‘ice field’ is raised up and set on to the ground.

The floor is smooth with ice, with small rocks covered with ice littered throughout the battlefield. From the air, there is a cast form giving off a hail effect on to the battlefield.

He seems to be distracted by something... “Jynx use double slap, make the Umbreon lose balance,” Sora says looking up from his phone suddenly. The Jynx fights through the confusion and runs at Lumi quickly. The ice doesn’t seem to be bothering her one bit. “Lumi don’t let her slap you!” you say as Lumi tries to move to the side, but slips on ice.

Jynx takes this chance to give Lumi to quick slaps on the face, but it doesn’t seem like it did any damage to her whatsoever… “Lumi use toxic!” you say. Lumi purses her lips before spitting out a bubbly purple blob out of her mouth. The Jynx sidesteps the poison. Hail falls on Lumi, dealing chip damage to her, more than the double slap did though.

“Use Shadowball!” you scream loudly at Lumi. Before Lumi’s eyes close, she sends out a shadow ball at point-blank range. Directly hitting the Jynx as she is pushed back into another rock on the other side of the field. Lumi is asleep, some hail falls on her as some health gets chipped away.

Oh! Before Umbreon falls asleep she is able to fire a shadow ball hitting the Jynx directly! That’s super effective damage folks!

Looking over to the other side of the field it seems that Jynx was knocked out in one hit by Lumi’s Shadowball. “Tch. Return Jynx!” Sora says as he recalls his Jynx back to his Pokeball.

“Return Lumi!” you say recalling Lumi back to her Pokeball asleep. You look at it and say, “You did great Lumi.” As you take out Ace’s Pokeball twisting the red knob on the top and releasing Ace onto the battlefield. “Now it’s your turn Ace!” you say loudly. Ace calls out into the sky and summons out a rain cloud as he enters the field. The Castform floating in the air shift to a different form, as it begins to drizzle onto the battlefield. “Heh! I thought you would send out your Dragonair so I came prepared! Go Clefable!” Sora says loudly.

From Sora’s Pokeball comes out a Clefable. It is a tall, pink Pokémon with a vaguely star-shaped body. It has long, pointed ears with dark brown tips and black, oval eyes with wrinkles on either side. A curled lock of fur hangs over its forehead, much like its long, tightly curled tail. On its back is a pair of dark pink wings; each wing has three points. Its hands have three fingers each, and its feet have two clawed toes and dark pink soles. “It’s over for you! Virgil. I have the type advantage for both your Pokemon.

[It’s now raining on to the icy battlefield, the floor is super slippery now due to the rain, and the ice combined. Clefable doesn’t seem too worried about its situation, as it moves its arms from side to side…]

“We're not done yet! Keep moving don't stop moving for a second.” You call out as Ace takes to the stormy sky moving erratically. “Clefable metronome!” Sora says as Clefable’s fingers begin to glow a bright white as she calls her name in a rhythmic pattern back and forth. Then suddenly she stops as one of her hands grow dark. Clefable attempts to jump towards Ace who is high up in the sky, but she loses her footing on the slippery ice and falls over; her attack fails.
“Aqua Tail now Ace!” you say loudly capitalizing on Clefable’s prone state. Ace gathers water in his tail from the rain, and surrounding area as he crashes down on the prone Clefable dealing a high amount of damage.

Oh and that’s a direct hit folks! The added power from the rain, and perhaps the water trapped within the ice added more firepower to its attack.

Clefable slowly stands up and begins to move its fingers again from left to right. Despite the very strong attack, it still has fight left in it! “Wait till we get a 1 hit ko! It’ll be all over!” Sora says.

“Ace finish it with Aqua Tail and thunderbolt!” you yell out. Ace gathers water from the rain and surrounding area and blows Clefable across the field into a rock. “Metronome again!” Sora calls out. Clefable’s hands turn white as it begins to move them from left to right. Ace sends out a thunderbolt towards the Clefable, conducting the attack through the water. The Clefable stops moving its fingers as an electrical wave comes off its body and meeting Ace’s electrical charge head-on. The two electric attacks collide, but they both seem to cancel each other out.

It seems that Clefable has gotten lucky with metronome and has released a shock wave that was able to null out the Dragonair’s thunderbolt with a different electrical discharge! But the Dragonair still has the advantage despite the type disadvantage!
“This is the final hit, Virgil! Dragonair is going down!” Sora declares

“Metronome again Clefable!” Sora says as Clefable repeats the same move as her hands become a bright white. “Aqua tail Ace!” Ace collects a massive amount of water on his tail, and slams down towards the Clefable with a loud splash, but it seems that Ace’s attack missed its mark and only caused the field to be somewhat submerged in water. “Now Clefable!” Sora calls out suddenly. Clefable hands become covered in flames as she strikes at Ace’s body using fire punch. Though while the attack hit, due to the weather and the surrounding area the damage is lessened immensely.

“Thunderbolt! Ace!” you say. Ace’s body gives off an electrical charge as he sends out a thunderbolt at the Clefable who is knee-deep in water. The thunderbolt causes a large buzzing sound, on the water and Clefable. For a moment you thought you saw Clefable’s skeleton… Ace stops the attack, leaving the electrocuted & charred Clefable floating in the water.

Clefable is unable to battle. Meaning that Virgil Tankerson is the winner of the first round!

There are some applause and cheers that come from the crowd. On the television Sora’s face is greyed out and replaced with a picture that you took on school picture day. Looking over you see Sora try to pick up his Clefable, but is held back due to the field still being electrified from Ace’s attack.

The Next match will be Roxie XXXX vs Agar XXXX. Will all competitors take a seat in the locker room or bleachers while you wait for your next match to be called.
