Really, Zouken is the sort of person who has survived being the leader of a house through four Holy Grail Wars, to think that he wouldn't have made preparations should he be attacked by an overwhelming force

"The basement? Why didn't you pursue him, then?" The young girl asks another question, and it's one with an answer that should really be quite obvious. For as much as Rin likes to make out how much of a genius prodigy she is, she does seem to like asking pointless questions.

"I'm running low on energy thanks to purging Sakura's body entirely of the Crest Worms that she was infested with, Tohsaka-san. Do you understand just how much of my energy it took to do that?" You can feel Sakura's hand squeeze yours a little more tightly as you bring up how you actually saved the girl when she was in the midst of what was likely the most pain she had ever experienced as the worms slowly went out of control. "What's more, you're asking me why I didn't poke around a place literally filled with deadly flesh eating worms. I'm not trying to get myself eaten here Rin, thanks." In your annoyance with Rin, you drop the honorific and just refer to her by her given name, this clearly annoys her a little, and you enjoy causing her said annoyance, if only a little. Rin is about as frustrating for you to do deal with as you had imagined she would be. What an obstinate girl.

"So you're telling me that he's alive somewhere? Just prowling about?" Rin sounds frustrated by the revelation that Zouken survived, and Sakura seems a little shaken too. You're a little annoyed by Zouken clinging to life and surviving your attempt to kill him too, but while he certainly hasn't been defanged, he's a far smaller threat than he was before. He was losing himself even before you destroyed his heart worm, with any luck he'll just lose his mind and melt into a pile of crest worms.

"That's right, Tohsaka-san. What's more, Zouken is a threat to the public, and to the secrecy of magecraft now too. The only way he'll be able to maintain his body is by eating innocent people. So that means that dealing with Zouken is as much your problem as it is mine, Miss Second Owner." Rin frowns at that sarcastic comment of yours. "But when I get back up to my full strength, and now that I've decided to employ Monica as a full time bodyguard for myself and Sakura, dealing with Zouken should he make his presence clear to me should be simple. I'll just do to him what I did to purge Sakura's body of the worms." Rin doesn't know the specifics of the Crest Worms, thankfully, or she would definitely be pestering you as to how you managed to accomplish something so terrifyingly difficult that even a talented spiritual surgeon like Kirei was only able to rid Sakura's body of most of the worms, and not purge her entirely of them. Of course, by the time the Fifth War finally starts, you hope to be able to be able to use your magecraft multiple times in a row to make fairly significant changes instead of it being a one and done type of magecraft until you recover enough to use it again, which normally takes at least a few hours, and it's not like you can really rely on anything or anybody to recharge yourself in a more timely manner, not unless you were hooked directly into the leylines like the grail or managed to tap directly into the Greater Grail itself.

A moment passes in silence as Rin processes what you just told her. "Wait. Are you trying to pass dealing with Zouken off on me?" There's an irritating tone of superiority in her voice, almost as if Rin believes you incapable of killing Zouken yourself.

"Not at all Tohsaka-san, because, and this acts as an answer to your third question too, if you went after Zouken you would die. You wouldn't be able to defeat Zouken in a fight. Not only that, you'd also act rashly and end up making a mistake."

"Y-y-you what?!" Rin is suddenly furious by your analysis of her character. "I'm a more talented magus than Zouken could ever hope to be!" Rin proudly declares, you have to hold back a laugh at Rin's confidence in her abilities. "I'm an Average One, you know! Does a third rate magus like yourself have any idea how rare Average Ones are?!" Now she's just being rude. Rin flinches backwards as Sakura glares at her for her outburst, obviously not expecting such a reaction from her biological sister in response to her bragging.

Instead of just allowing the sisters to get into some sort of spat, you begin to explain the reason behind your analysis. "That's nice, Tohsaka-san. But..." You smirk at Rin. "so am I, and I still couldn't kill him. Just because you have more natural talent than somebody, it doesn't automatically mean that you'll be able to defeat them in a fight." In fact, you shouldn't ever take any sort of victory for granted in this world. You never know when a high schooler is going to pull out a hard counter to your greatest ability out of thin air, after all. "I'm not trying to say that you aren't talented as a magus, but can you really tell me that you would've been in the right frame of mind to help save Sakura if you knew what was going on?"

Rin remains silent for some time as your words give her pause. "Well... But... Don't you think it's a little arrogant that you thought you were the only one capable of saving Sakura?" At this point she's just grasping at straws. What is she even trying to prove?

"Arrogant? Tohsaka-san... I've been plotting this for eight years, from the moment I realized what my grandfather was forcing Sakura to go through, I've been working towards saving her. What have you been doing? Don't you even dare try to tell me that you were too busy because being a magus is a hard path to take!" She's stupid enough to do something like that, after all. She really botches dealing with Sakura as much as she possibly can. She's as much an obstacle as she is an ally in Heavens Feel with how she acts with Sakura. "I've been training as a magus too, you know. The only difference there is that my tutor in magecraft is a Grand-rank Clocktower magus." You stop talking for a moment as you allow Rin to let that sink in. "And I still had to take almost a decade to plan this!" Really, how dare she call you arrogant? The arrogant one here is the twin-tailed girl acting like a child because she wasn't allowed in on your mission to save her sister. Truth is she probably would've managed to find a way to ruin everything anyway.

"But... Matou-kun. The only reason that Sakura was even given to your family is because you were a failure of a magus, born without magic circuits. So why don't you explain how it is that you're capable of magecraft now? To be talented enough for a Grand to want to tutor you, of course, that's on the assumption that you aren't just lying through your teeth." Once again, Rin takes some sort of platform of superiority over you, you're starting to feel like revealing just how talented you are compared to Rin. Her tone is laced with sarcasm and you kind of feel like slapping her.

"Enough! Onii-chan wouldn't lie about something like that!" Sakura has clearly had enough of Rin's consistent hostility towards you. "Onii-chan really did save me, Nee-san! So stop acting like this towards him!" Rin is taken aback by Sakura's sudden anger. She's been patiently remaining silent for this entire conversation, but it seems she's finally had enough of her sister's constant taunting of her savior.

You take the opportunity of Rin being stunned into silence to begin speaking. "I'm not entirely sure myself, actually. One day I just seemed to develop magic circuits." You fetch the shard of the meteorite out of your pocket. "My teacher gave this to me. It's a mystic code that seals off all magical energy by relentlessly consuming it, it's how I've been able to get away with practicing magecraft for all these years. You can doubt me all you want, Tohsaka-san, but for these past eight years I've had to live a life of constant secrecy." Things would be easier if Rin wasn't so arrogant and proud. While you probably could've included her in your plans, it just wasn't worth the effort. "Besides, maybe if you weren't always so cold to me whenever I tried to approach you, maybe I would've seen fit to include you in what I had planned!" You can't hold back from shouting at the girl any longer, she's really started to get on your nerves now.

An uncomfortable silence settles over the room. Rin tries to think of some sort of response to what you just told her, but she really can't. It's pretty clear that she's said her part, and you are the one with the power to decide where things go from here.

We've hit B rank with Baijiquan, unless we summon Li Shuwen or go find Master Panda, we probably can't get it any higher.
Physical Training feels like it keeps getting glossed over, it didn't even warrant a paragraph during the last update or a stat on the sheet.
Charisma is already pretty high, B rank is Arthur/Ozy/Karl the Great, King of a Nation tier. We'll need some amazing bullshit to bust into that.

Those aren't reasons, at least not very good ones.
Physical strength is always something that can be improved and we very well could be pointed in the direction of Master Panda during the time skip. And even if we weren't there's no reason why we shouldn't keep pushing our skill if we haven't been told we hit the skill wall as we were with our Reality Marble and Truth shit.

We're rich and bound to be richer, one of the richest in the world in fact. The influence that comes with being one of the most wealthy people on earth is a great staging ground for obtaining that next level of charisma. We could be an underground Elon Musk years before that fuck hit the mainstream.

Snake style was an idea pushed by one anon that still hasn't caught on. That said, if WhatIsAQM tells us you're right and we're finna hit the wall in regards to Baijiquan or Physical Training, then I'll be more than willing to bro out with Kuzuki. He deserves a happy ending too after all.

The whole learning Snake Style thing was never very popular, or at the very least was always low priority. In some threads, it was literally only one guy bringing it up if anyone did at all.

Very true, but it still wasn't a very popular plan to start with. Not saying nobody wanted it, just that it was never something many people were set on doing, especially after our Bajiquan training started to pay major dividends.
Even now, I'm not really against the idea, but there are other things we could be doing instead, and with no indication that those things won't continue giving us a proper return on investment there's no reason to go out of our way to do anything else.

All that said, maybe we could replace physical training with Snake Style, but I'd do it more for Kuzuki's sake than anything else. Losing out on /fit/Shinji will suck, but honestly, there's only so much brute strength can get us against higher tier enemies I suppose.
I'm adamant about continuing to train Bajiquan and raising our charisma though, those skills are too important not to try and raise as much as possible.
