Ahhh....South Champa, not the best of nations, but truly the one you grew to love in. Either way, before we go into your ideology, let's do some recap of it's history, shall we ?.

A former Franco-British colony, the island of Champa hasn't had the best of lucks every since the end of WW2, for not soon after the surrender of the Japanese, the island was carved up horizontally between the allies, with the north becoming a communist regime backed by the Soviets and Chinese, and the south an anti-communist one backed by the Americans and Europeans.

The nation under it's first years were anything but pleasant, as the weak republic was replaced by a brutal, but efficient tecnocractic dictatorship, who proceeded to modernize and industrialize the country with the help of american and local business, while at the same time dealing with North Champa backed guerrillas, before finally defeating them with american help, and stablishing a complicated but stable peace on the island, allowing the regime to continue modernizing the country.

This industrialization achieved the rapid development of the country, but had a trememdous human cost, which alongside the growing educated middle class, the political repressions, and the end of the cold war, was the downfall of the dictatorship, which fell around the late 80's allowing for a democracy to take place.

That said, the coming of democracy had it's problems too, as the republic rapidly devolved into a two-party system marked by corruption and backroom deals. The current goverment for example, was marked by an scandal involving a religious cult running the show of all things, making the ruling party collapse in power and populatity and allowing for people like you to finally have a shot on winning the election.

That said, Having now stablished your name, your past, and your home country, it's time to stablish your ideology, but remember, the more extreme you are, the more difficult things may get.

If you are going to win the election, you're going to need to appeal for people to vote for you, and the best way to do that in such a developing and industrializing nation such as South Champa, is to know the key demographics of the nation, those being the growing urban, educated, middle class champans of the industrial sectors, and promise them better wages and jobs if they elect you as their president. Whether you're planning to fulfil them is thing for the future.

Some didn't took the bait of course, but others, dissapointed with the current Liberal Democratic Party (DLP) did, and so, after couple of weeks campaining, you have earned a modest following of urban workers, specially in the industrial city of Miao

After talking with your campaign managers for some time, you decide that it was time for a much needed image change, for you are not longer the sole leader of a tiny outcast movement, but the head of a proper party, fighting for the unification of Great Champa, and a great contender for the presidency, that party being that of the National Unity Party, the NAP, "United for a better tomorrow"

With this name change, as well as some image changes to show your true commitments and loyalties to Champa as opposed to some half-american bastard, you have managed to strengthen your hold over Miao, managing to turn your plurality into a slight majority within the district.

That said, your national voting preference percentage is still at 9.93%, meaning that you should continue working on carrying your mesage to the people of Champa to vote for you as president. As you party rises in popularity across the country, most of the parties are starting to see you as a potential rival or threat and are acting accordingly to it, however, there's one exception to it, that being the NPP, who has now approached you looking a potential backroom deal.

Being now one of the front runners of the election meant that you were not longer just the powerless fool like your rivals once thought you of, but a serious treat, capable of winning the election, and disrupting the two-party system. And so, with that in mind, the corrupt oligarchs of the SVP and the LDP began to conspire against, by lauching a discreting campaign, painting you as a hypocritical corrupt failure, due to your time in the LDP.

Fortunately for you, however, you were able to fight off these attacks, by going on the offensive too, as one of your men happened to dig up some incriminating evidence of LPD and SVP engaging in voter buying in Nyugen city and Saipan, tarnishing their reputation, and forcing to halt their campaigns as they do some damage control.

If so we don't have to deal with the media as much, we could also get founding that way by advertisements and have free spots open where small and medium businesses can get free advertisement for joining and supporting the national unification party. As they searched through their belongings, they founded communist paraphilia and propaganda, raising the question if this was an attack supported by the north, of of they were just acting on their own.

The north, of course, denied any links with the event, but this could be used as an great opportunity for you to spread your message, just be sure not to go overhead, lest you appear insensitive.

Event #7 "The immigration question"

Just as you were campaigning in the local colleges, news come out with the full report of the police regarding the communist attack of last month.

Apparently, the gunners weren't actually originally from or supported by the north, as was originally tought, but rather, they were a pair of indian immigrants that had conections with the Naxalites, the world's biggest terrorist organization, as well as other Maoist groups. Rising a question about what to do with immigrants.

As far back as the Franco-British colony, Chinese and Indian immigrants and indentured servants have arrived and lives in champa for many years now, either looking for work, or escaping from poverty and war, with their numbers amounting to almost a fifth of the entire island's population, and forming much of the cheap labour in the factories and cities.

However, this has carried many problems for the nation too, as they have frecuently have accused of stealing jobs from the local champan population, and driving up housing prices, and serving as fifth columnists for the north. Regardless of whatever of that is true or not, the people now are demanding for a swift response to prevent another tragedy from happening, with many in your party expecting for you to take an strong stance on the matter.

That said, being the son of a American Soldier, responding to this question without looking like a hypocrite, nor pissing off your nationalist support is going to be difficult. Either way, expect for the Chinese and Indian diaspora to flee to the Solidarists and LDP should you take a hardline stance.

With the Election turning now around the immigration question, you decided to hurt the Solidarist where they would feel it the most, at their own voter base.
