The Republic of Aztlan is teeming with violent crimes, social unrest, corruption, and Pokémon. That last one being the most precious resource this land has to offer.

Most kids dream of becoming a “Pokémon Master” one day, but only a select few manage to make it. Do you have what it takes to carve a name for yourself and escape from your hellish daily life? Or will you be another loser forgotten by history?

In this quest, you’ll play as an unfortunate young man living in an interpretation of the Pokémon world.

Your name, well, it doesn’t matter much. For all intents and purposes of this quest, you shall be referred simply as [ANON]. You turned 16 a couple of weeks ago, which means you are finally old enough to get your Pokémon Trainer License, which seems to be your only shot at a better life.
>>

RECAP:
ANON is the son of an abusive alcoholic who wastes his youth by partaking in urban exploring and scavenging trash to pawn off in an attempt to feed himself and his younger sister.
This numb and cynical teen is currently undergoing the Pokémon Trainer License Exam, a test implemented by the government to weed out failures and dangerous individuals from owning and training Pokémon.

After barely passing the first portion of the test, a written exam ANON has been put on a REMEDIAL CLASS alongside a small group of curious individuals. He must attend every day for the remainder of the week unless every member of the class manages to get a Pokémon of their own.

So far, he had a close encounter with a criminal group in an attempt to make some quick cash. He managed to partially tame an emaciated Houndour who was abused by illegal breeders and is currently working on how to get her back to fighting shape and get her to follow his commands.

After being wiped out on their first battle by a selective mute/ Pokémon Trainer savant, ANON makes his way to the public library to learn more about Houndour’s diet and physiology. But before that, he has made a quick stop home to get his younger sister out of the house, she´s been stuck with your father for days now.
>>
Previous thread: >>5749198

Great to see you back, QM. I hope you're doing pretty well.
>>
You briefly considered ordering takeout to keep your father busy and make your escape easier, but you don’t have a cell phone and the landline has been dead for a while now. The last time you used it, you tried to call child protective services only for your father to pay off the social worker who came and then proceeded to impart one of the worst beatings of your life. You could also coerce Houndour into starting a small fire to draw out your father but know him, he must be getting too hammered to notice.

ANON sneaks around the property, quietly so as to not draw any attention, making his way to the side of the house. Houndour stays behind as she’s still comfortable getting inside buildings.

There’s a single window there that leads to his room. It’s a bit too small for him to cross it without causing a ruckus but his sister should be able to cross it without a hitch.

After confirming that only his sister is in the room, ANON knocks on the glass to catch her attention. The young girl who was busying herself sketching in her notebook gets startled, almost jumping from her seat, letting out a sigh of relief after seeing its just you.

You communicate across the closed windows by reading each other lips and gesturing to each other, after years of living under the roof of an irritable and violent drunk you’ve come up with a way to talk to each other without making any noise to avoid inciting his pointless wrath.

You tell her about your outing to the library and ask her to come with you. She’s apprehensive at first, not wanting to get into trouble with your father but she comes around when you tell her she can bring her sketchbook and art supplies with her. Quickly she gets everything on her old schoolbag, double-checks that father isn’t near to hear her, and slowly opens the window towards momentary freedom.

Your sister, Houndour and you are walking down the street. Your little sister, feeling a bit excited at the surprise outing as well as seeing you with a Pokémon, tried to carelessly approach Houndour while asking you where you met her and how you managed to tame her. This sudden approach made Houndour growl violently and get ready to attack his sibling.

The girl, your sister, is too scrawny and small for her age, no wonder Houndour would deem her weak enough to attack her.

How did ANON handle this situation?

>Anon fiercely reprimanded Houndour for daring to threaten his younger sister. "Don't even think about it"
>Anon had to scold her sister for carelessly approaching a Pokémon like that. "C'mon, you are smarter than this"
>Didn't think much of it. His sister has a good enough judgment to not approach carelessly again.
>Sternly he told Houndour to stop and instead focused on distracting her sister who was still a bit startled. Offering to give her a ride on his bike.
>Other/ write-in.

Picking a fight merely because you think you can win is not a good idea.

Let this be a lesson for her.

Express to the Houndour that her aggression was unnecessary and our sister is with us. Check up on our sister, ask if she's alright, and ride the bike behind or to the side of Houndour if our sister still feels uncomfortable around her; that way, her back wouldn't be facing the Pokemon.

With a calm but harsh tone, you commanded Houndour to stop her growling and then focused your attention on calming your already nervous wreck of a sibling, explaining to her that Houndour is not fully tamed yet and are you are in the process of doing so. “Don’t worry, I got her under control, she’s just not used to people” You partially lied, you are pretty good at downplaying most situations. You told your sister a bit about this year’s trainer test and how you can´t use any Poke balls to keep her in place. The girl promised to be more careful around your canine.
Since your sibling was still feeling uneasy you offered to give her a ride on your bike, promising that you wouldn’t go too fast as you tend to do. She insists that you tend to run wild whenever you start biking, but you are sure that’s just her cautious nature talking.

She stands on the two metal pegs sticking out of the back wheel and holds onto you. As you calmly pedal through the streets you keep an eye on Houndour, being vigilant of any aggressive behavior towards your sister. The beasts seem to understand that she’s being kept in check by you so there´s no more threats towards your relative.

It doesn’t take long for your sister to get in a better mood, as you bike through the city, she keeps bringing up places that your family used to visit. The public park where your father used to take you two, the restaurant you frequented whenever the weekend came around, the ice cream shop where he used to take the two of you to celebrate any occasion. Even though she’s enjoying the ride, she sounds nostalgic for those times. When your father still tried to be a “family man”, even after your mother passed. But those days are long gone.

>There’s no point in reminiscing about a past that can’t ever return. She’s just being childishly naïve.
>It’s better this way, whenever you think about those days you can’t help but feel sick at that man’s attempts to play the role of a “good dad”, he should have shown his true nature earlier instead of pretending to be a better man than he really is.
>Her happiest moments are gone. You must work hard and make sure to give her more, and better moments she can cherish later, then, there will be no need for those old memories.
>In a deep part of your psyche, you unconsciously long for those days too. When you were younger, you used to hope that one day your father would wake up and clean up his act, that he’d stop being that bastard he had become, and he’d start trying to be a good father once again. Even now, sometimes, you find yourself fantasizing about that.
>You don’t want her to think too much about that, it’s not good for her. Speed up a little bit to give the ride some more excitement and get her mind out of those topics.
>Other/ write-in.

“We don’t need those memories. We can make better ones.” The thoughts escaped through your voice.

“Did you say something [ANON]?” Asked your sister who was too engrossed with her memories.

“Nothing, just mumbling to myself.”

A part of you wishes to tell her that she doesn’t need to hold on to those days. That once you make it, you are going to give her a better life. But that would be disingenuous,

Those are empty promises, useless words. You don’t know if you can hold the end of your bargain. Hell, you aren’t sure if you’ll be able to keep yourself. Preferring to not disappoint her in the future you keep those thoughts to yourself. No need to burden her with that kind of expectation.

After some more minutes biking you arrive at your destination, at the sight of the building Houndour decides to wander off, looking for a place to lay. You tell her to not stray too far away. The mutt who responds with a disinterested grunt.

The building is ample and solitary. Two floors whose halls are brimming with all manners of books. At first glance, the whole place has an outdated air to it, as if you just walked into a place that has been frozen in time, the old rugs adorning the floor, the corny posters inciting kids to read (featuring a cartoon Meowth wearing glasses), the drawing now yellowed by the passage of time, etc.

But there’s even an area fitted with slightly outdated computers with internet access. Hell, you can even get movies and some video games, not that you have much interest in those, it just took you by surprise.

It’s one of few places that hasn’t fallen into disarray after the city started going under. Whoever oversees this place seems to put some effort into keeping it functional.

It’s a bit late, the sun is already setting and there’s barely anyone else in this place. You need to make the most of your time before the library closes. You are not familiar with this place, but it shouldn’t be too hard to find books related to Houndour’s habits, nature, biology, etc.

You´ve never been too keen on academics, but you have decided to give it your all.

Roll me 1d100 to test ANON’s ability to focus and reading comprehension.
Best of three.

Alright, last update for the day. Will be back tomorrow. Now, a quick question.

Currently, what do you think are ANON's fears? What are those recurrent thoughts he pushes back and tries to not dwell on? They don't have to be logical or even relevant.

Does he fear letting his temper get the best of him and turn like his father? Some crappy B-Horror movie he watched as a young lad? The unnerving feeling of being followed by someone or something? Getting himself killed while wandering around town and leaving his sister to fend off for herself? Or maybe the opposite? Returning home one day and finding out his sister has met an unfortunate fate, just like his mother? Or something completely different?
>>
>>5789832
Fear of loneliness? Not being good enough for sister, and she leave him, not being good enough to meet someone and start a relationship, not being good enough to keep Pokemons?

>ROLL: FAILED
You’ve been tolling away at the books for hours now and you’ve a laughably miniscule amount of progress. You’ve never been particularly gifted on the subject of academia, but you figured it was a matter of your lack of general enthusiasm for such pointless subjects, not the fact that you are a barely literate simpleton because that’s how you are feeling right now after hours of hitting the books.

The books you found regarding Houndour and fire types in general are way too dense, the information they contain it´s mostly educational and academic, things researchers, biologists, and probably vets can understand but not your apathetic, uninformed teenage brain.
Maybe you tried to tackle books that are too complicated for a complete novice on Pokémon rearing and biology, so you instead opt to consult “How to” guides and short manuals aimed at rookie trainers. The info on them is more digestible but not too useful, just the basics and a couple of useful tips. Finally, you resort to browsing the net in search of help, but the thing is, since you’ve never had a computer at home you are pretty much tech-illiterate. You don’t know where to search for useful information nor how to discern between what’s pure bullshit and what’s actually sound advice. It’s just a cybernetic cacophony of nonsense.

Everything seems to be either too simple and lacking to be truly trustworthy and worth the hours you’ve wasted here or too technical and complicated for your uneducated brain that keeps bombarding you with waves of apathy and boredom the moment you try to make sense of each thick, undecipherable paragraph.

It´s a slow, boring, and seemingly endless task.

Why can they just pack the information you need in a tight little bundle so you can skip all of this bullshit and get to the point.

“Are you okay?” questions your worried sister at your visible distress. She has been eagerly reading through illustrated Pokémon encyclopedias and trying to sketch the images on them, she’s particularly proud of a detailed drawing of a Squirtle she just finished.

You try to tell her that it’s nothing, but she sees right through you. The little girl sits beside you and tries her best to aid you. The girl, half a decade younger than you helps you review the deluge of information you’ve just consumed and make sense of things.

So basically, the gist of it is:

Houndours are omnivores by nature, aside from some vegetables and spices that are harmful to them, they can eat most things. Lean meats and hearty vegetables seem like the way to go. Some specific types of highly nutritional roots could help her diet but they tend to have a strong taste that most Pokémon dislike so they must be used sparingly.

For severely malnourished mons like her, whose diet has consisted only of regular kibble and trash, Milktank Milk can be a great addition to their meals. Maybe you can try and make some form of stew for her. Since she’s not used to this kind of food, she needs something easier on the stomach.
You wrote down everything you need to make her a meal on a small list, you’ll try to get those ingredients sooner than later.

For Houndour in particular, there are certain foods experienced trainers add to their diet on the regular. Their evolutionary line produces this weird noxious and flammable gas that is the basis for most of its Fire Type moves, the bulk of it is produced inside their gut, where their “microbiota” which your sister explained, is the microorganism that live inside of the mon, produces this gas and its toxins. Some foods and chemicals promote the growth of these bacteria, but it can be harmful to the Houndour if it goes unchecked.

And regarding training, some tips you’ve found are the importance of team exercises, Houndours are highly sociable and perform better when they feel like part of a “pack”, cardiovascular exercises to improve their lung function are advised as well, this way they develop a better control to expel those flammable gases, meaning more powerful Flamethrowers.

It’s getting late, the clock marks the closing of the library, is around 10:00 pm and your sister is starting to get a bit tired.

Before you go, the librarian tells you that if you wish, you can take out a book if you wish too and return it at a later date. There’s a limit of one per visitor, and since you are a high school student, you can take one without an issue. Your sister asks if she can take one as well but becomes disappointed after learning that younger kids can only take books out if their guardian is present.

Take a book out?
> “The Encyclopedia of Canine Pokémon” One of the few accessible books that still contains relevant information regarding Houndour, take it and keep trying to make sense of it. See if you learn anything new.
> “Cooks and Croconaw: Recipes and Tips for Beginners” A cookbook containing simple dishes that can be consumed by people and Pokémon alike.
> “Bug-Catching Basics” A small handbook detailing how to safely catch most Bug-Pokémon.
> “Southern Aztlan: a land of conflict and riches”: A detailed read describing the tumultuous history of the constant civil wars that have occurred in this republic, it also has a section about the language of the natives living there. It’s probably what that indigenous girl in the remedial class, Tekuani, speaks.

>Spoil your little sister.
There are a couple of books that could prove useful but to be honest you are sick of reading for the time being. So, you opt to pass for now. The one who really wants to take the book home is your sister, her gaze fixed intensely on an illustrated encyclopedia about Mudkips that she didn’t have the opportunity to read because of your ineptitude and her concern for her older brother.

Goddamit, you can’t stand seeing her that pleading look and pouty face, she’s too shy to ask you but it’s obvious she wants to bring that book home. You don’t understand how she can get so engrossed in them, but you know her well enough to understand that is one of the things that makes her happy.

“C’mon, go get it.” You state, pointing at the book she desperately wants.

“Are you sure?” She keeps holding herself back, worried that she’ll be an inconvenience to you.

“Just grab it.” Before you finish the sentence, she’s already gone to retrieve it from its shelf.

“We’ll take this one please” she excitedly told the librarian while holding the book,

You are now well into the night, Houndour waited for you outside the library thankfully staying out of trouble while out of your view. The three of you walk through the streets, with you between the canine and the girl to avoid any altercations between the two. The whole trip she’s been holding the book close to her chest unable to contain a shy smile that won’t go away.

Before you go home, you pass by that food truck you found earlier. They are still hiring delivery boys. The line cooks are still going at it hard, chopping, frying, and packing an immodest amount of junk food. The pay is still 1,500 per day, plus the tips you make during your deliveries. You only need your own means of transportation and know your way around the city, and you are confident enough in your biking skills to carry you through the city. It’s a legitimate job and it wouldn’t be getting in the way of the Remedial Class or school hours. But you’ve left with very little time to yourself, ending the shift at late hours at night.

Do you apply for the job?
>Yes, a secure flow of cash is what you need right now.
>No, it would take too many hours out of your day.

While securing more cash is important, it would take too much time out of your day. You are already wasting precious hours with that pointless remedial course, and starting tomorrow Monday you have classes to attend before summer break. Time is not on your side and Houndour is not ready for battle yet. You’ll find other ways to make money.

The spicy and salty aroma coming from the junk food being prepared by the food truck is tempting, you haven’t had a bite since breakfast, but you still have plenty of food from the groceries you bought and besides streets become dangerous the later it gets. Right now, a small scuffle between members of two rival gangs seems to be brewing near the food truck. A petty fight regarding territory or something, they got their mons out and are hurling insults and provocations at each other. So you decide to hasten your return home, you don’t want your little sister to experience gang violence, she’s feeling cheery and it could ruin her mood.

Before you realize it you have returned home, Houndour once again went to her usual spot, still refusing to enter your house. The light seems off and it’s dead quiet from the outside, so you hoped that you are father had already passed out from drinking, but you were wrong.

He was there, sitting in silence amidst the dark, waiting for your return. “Where, were you?” asks the man reeking of hard liquor in a most unsettling tone. He tries to sound calm, but the slight tremble of his voice signals how he’s barely holding back his rage.

Your sister tries to say something, but the moment she starts to explain “Shut your mouth and go to your room. I’m talking with [ANON]”

“He just took me to the library…” She mouths nervously in a barely audible tone, still trying to allege in your favor.

“I said shut up and go to your room!” He screams, punctuating his anger by striking the kitchen table with a closed fist. Your sister scampers off to her room, scared, her eyes tearing up a bit. As she enters her room she gives you a look, silently pleading that you won’t piss him off more. She doesn’t want to see you hurt.

He stands up, the man is out of shape but still corpulent. He’s barely taller than you but you feel as if he towered above you. He grabs you by the shoulder, painfully digging his fingers in, and brings you closer.

“I don’t care where you go or what you do with yourself as long as you don’t bring any trouble here.”

“But keep your sister out of your business. I don’t want you to drag her along with whatever you are doing.”

“Are we clear?”

You don’t want to look him in the eye, you keep silent trying to keep your cool as best as you can, to avoid doing or saying anything stupid and making the situation worse.
He doesn’t like that, you feel the back of his hand striking your cheek, strong enough to cause some bleeding but not enough to bring you down onto your feet.
“Look at me, when I’m talking to you. Are we clear?”

> “Yes, sir. We are clear.” You don’t want any more trouble. Just comply for the time being.
>Keep silent. This waste of oxygen doesn’t deserve a response. Just endure whatever he throws your way. You’ve done it before.
> “Fuck off” push him away. Let him know that he doesn’t intimidate you anymore, even if it’s a lie.

Bro if you think an abusive alcoholic won't report his kid missing out of spite for his other kid then I envy your optimistic world view. We couldn't get my cousin away from his POS dad until he finally tried to choke the life out of the kid to spite my aunt. He didn't want my cousin around, he just didn't want his family to have him more. This guy already bribed cps to look the other way, what makes you think he won't go to the police if she goes missing?

NGL keeping our head down is probably the correct choice, but there's a faint sliver of hope that the beating we get for talking out might get that military teacher guy to notice, ask what the fuck happened, and maybe shit gets fixed. I'm probably just being wishful though.

If the goal is NOT to become like him, then mericlessly killing him is not a good way to go about it. Yeah i get that he would probably do it out of spite, but DESU its dammed if we do, dammed if we dont. I rather dont since it will put us in trouble with the law MUCH more to commit first-degree murder as opposed to just family disputes. And yes, psychic types exists as do ghost types, they can probably very easily see us killing the bastard.
>>
Sorry anons, next update will be tomorrow, see ya then

That's why we poison him. He can't point the finger from the grave if he doesn't know it's us. And frankly I'd be surprised if anyone dedicated the resources. As long as we pick the right poison it'll just look like alcohol poisoning and no one will pay any attention. No one gives a damn about our dad but his Zangoose, and that's probably more pity than respect.

And frankly I don't buy this nonsense of "If you kill him you'll be him." Our father's sin is that he'd rather hide from his problems and lash out at children than face the pain of his reality. Killing him might be a step down a dark path, but it's not the same path as dear old dad.

>"What business do you want her kept out of? Visits to the library?"

His hypocrisy is nauseating. He doesn’t care about her, he only wants something to control that is on his grasps, seeing as how this sorry excuse of a father has left his meaningless existence spiral out of control. His behavior is irrational, he can’t explain or justify it, that’s why he is so quick to turn to violence whenever he’s confronted with the truth of his actions.

[ANON]: You? Worried about her? That’s a good joke.
[FATHER]: I’m not playing around. I’m serious.
[ANON]: What business do you want her kept out of? Visits to the library?
[ANON]: If you want to start acting as a father, why don’t you begin by feeding your kids?
[ANON]: Deadbeat.

He digs his nails even further, almost making you wince from the pain.

[FATHER]: You snarky little shit.
[FATHER]: You don’t know squat about life.
[FATHER]: I’m just trying to keep her out of trouble, I already failed with you. Going who knows where all day long.
[FATHER]: You should be grateful you still have a roof above your head.
[FATHER]: I’m telling this for your own good, stop it. Don’t make me angrier than I already am.

And you took that as a challenge. You are just looking for a reason to make him snap, you want your words to hurt him. If you are able to stand up to him, to be daring enough to rile him up. That means you don’t fear him.

Even if you are trembling, even if you are struggling to keep your legs in place, ignoring the intense impulses of running away or at least pathetically cry for forgiveness. If you can prove to yourself that you don’t care. That you are willing to provoke him. That means you are stronger, that he doesn’t terrifies you anymore.

“You haven’t done anything for her, you don’t care at all.”
C’mon you old bastard, just do it already. Be of some use for once and help me conquer these fears. Punch me, hurt me, so next time I’ll be able to better ignore the pain, so next time it’s easier. So next time I’ll be less frightening.

[1/3]
>>
"Mom would be so disappointed with how you've given up."

That’s the thing that sends him over the edge. Your father falls silent as you feel the dull pain of his fist striking your abdomen, you can feel his middle knuckle slightly protruding from his fist and painfully nailing itself into your body.

He knocked the wind out of you with that strike. As you reflexively hunch over, he wastes no time delivering a series of strikes at your sides, directed at your ribcage. He’s still holding you by the shoulder, clamping at it fiercely.

His face contorted into a grim visage. His expression seems devoid of all emotion, except for those pathetic eyes of him, sunken to the point of almost looking hollow. Why do you look so sad, old man? Don’t pretend to be remorseful.

Yes, this is the outcome you desired. you are in control. This beatdown, this pain, you let it happen. It hurts, it’s painful, it makes you want to curl up and disappear. But you chose it, you weren’t goaded by anyone else, you didn’t let him have the satisfaction of controlling your actions out of fear. You are the maker of your father’s impotent rage.

You are not trying to rationalize your fear of him or the oppressive feeling of powerlessness from not being able to stop him. This is simply a logical action derived from a conscious attempt to mock and oppose your father.

You are not a scared little kid anymore.

You are numb, you are logical. You are above this.

So, stop crying. And tough it out.

You chose this.

The old man will get his in due time. When Houndour is strong enough that Zigzagoon isn't going to save him.
>>

+1, and that's a fucking Zangoose bro. Medi typo'd it.
>>
>>5797320
>>5797320
The sun is rising. Your body is currently sprawled across the living floor. Your face, chest, and stomach sordidly ache from the onslaught of strikes. Your sickly skin is now covered with colorful bruises.

Zangoose had to forcefully separate your father from you when he noticed that the man was taking it too far. The two of them locked themselves in their room. Your younger sister is currently passed out on the living room couch, she must have come out of her room to check on you after the conflict subsided.

It’s currently Monday morning, your body is aching all over and you’ve got a high school to attend too.
You don’t really care much for school. Doing the bare minimum to be able to graduate. It’s the last week of classes and there’s nothing too vital going on, besides some finals on Wednesday. Still, ff you miss several days, the faculty may contact your father to ask about you, which would lead to another confrontation.

Still, right now the school grounds must be brimming with other trainers undergoing the License test, it could be a useful place to gather information or even battle with trainers of your level if you manage to get Houndour used to the crowds.

On the other hand, it’s painful to move and you didn’t have much time to rest last night. Maybe it would be for the better to stay home and rest for the day, at least until you have to go to your pointless Remedial Course.
So, what will you do?

>Skip school, rest for the remainder of the morning, until it’s time for the Remedial Course

>Just go to high school, you can rest your injuries there and it may prove useful.

I don't think he's the kind of guy who would escalate this to a teacher on his own, he's been taking beatings from his father for a while. He's a loner too so no friends/classmates who would do it for him out of worry.

He would probably do it if something happens to his sister though.
>>
>>5797677
System is too corrupt to do anything about it anyway. And ANON has tried before, and been burnt for his trouble.

Sorry, I wasn't very clear with that. As far as ANON is concerned, Hiiro only communicates with people using written notes and non-spoken gestures, when ANON asked about the tapping being morse code, Hiiro denied it using a written note.

Hiiro has only spoken to command his mons in battle.

ANON´s father makes money by selling "Nuzzle" and illegal substance made out of mixing Stun Spores and a number of chemicals. He has never said it out loud but Anon has found small packets of the drug strewn around the house and he's constantly going out to undisclosed locations, so ANON has figured out he's a petty drug dealer of sorts. He seems to have started after he was laid off of his regular desk job, shortly after ANON's mother's passing.

Just because we have a soft spot for our sister doesn't mean we're not still basically a school shooter. I'm not saying kill him now, but everything in our character so far screams kill him once we've got our trainer license and are leaving for good.
>>
>>5798308
Agreed, the killing shit is way outside ANON I think, from the mid-beating thoughts he had it seems he just wants control back. beating his dad's ass into the dirt (and maybe taking his pokemon with us) is a lot more controlled than killing him doing whatever and opening a massive can of worms with police.

We need to let this murder shit go and focus on being a good trainer and prepping to get our sister out of here.

To me, the main issue is that we literally can NOT trust our father, and there is not a single chance in hell we're getting our sister anywhere while he's still in the way. So unless someone comes up with a better solution to him existing, I personally don't see a better option to dealing with him.

Judging from the state of anon's home, there isn't enough money for another bribe. In a more perfect world you'd be right. But here in this place that help isn't coming. He's not gonna get better. His drug dealing boss isn't going to say "Jim, you need to join AA and get past this." Anything, anything we say to him is going to get us a beating.

Sooner or later he's going to start beating our sister. He's going to get worse, not better. He has no support network, and he works with criminals, is a criminal. The closest thing he has to a friend is a pokemon who enables him.

I can fix him is the mentality that keeps abused wives with their husbands for years. The only thing that could shock him loose, and it would probably just make him worse is if he kills our sister.

You don't want to kill him? Fine, we can try alternatives. But remember, he will get worse, not better. He's a sinner surrounded by devils, and we sure as hell aint no angel.

>School's a waste of time, let's do something else with these hours.

Pushing through the pain you manage to stand up and start your morning routine. First, you wake up your younger sibling and then proceed to stumble into your room and gather your belongings.
Taking a quick shower while trying to avoid looking at your bruised body, the visage of your weak self feels momentarily sickening. The water colliding with your skin stings as it hits the hematomas and cuts. Changing into the cleanest set of clothes you can find.

You prepare a simple breakfast for yourself and your sister, aided by the little one. Some scrambled eggs and toast. Every moment is painful, but you start to grow accustomed to the sensation and soon enough, you are able to ignore it for the most part.

“I’m sorry…” your sister tries to apologize, as she feels that the punishment imparted by your father’s inebriated rage was her fault, but you tell her to drop it, that she didn’t do anything wrong and that’s not a big of a deal. “Just another beating”
But she can’t stop feeling responsible, the girl can’t even bear to look at you from the guilt and pleads that you should just stay home and rest, or at the very least go to the school’s infirmary once you are there. You keep telling her not to worry. But she keeps pushing. You know she means best but it’s starting to get under your skin. Making her worried when you are the one who should be taking care of her.

“Just drop it, alright? I don’t need you worrying about me” it ended up coming out in a harsher tone than you intended. You can’t help it, you are in pain, you are tired and irritated and she keeps blaming herself for it.
Your words are enough to make her huddle in her seat, “Sorry, I won’t bring it up.” For a moment you see your sister feel a bit unnerved because of you, with the same expression she looks at your father with. And you can’t blame her. After all, just for a moment, your voice almost sounded like his.

You are quick to apologize, and the two of you proceed to eat in an awkward silence.
Zangoose is waiting outside, as he does every morning on a school day. The mon has been assigned the job of escorting your little sister to her elementary since it’s located quite far from your high school. While Zangoose waited he trained on his own, slashing at an invisible opponent while practicing his evading skills. Your father hasn't bothered to train Zangoose in years so the mons tries to keep himself in fighting shape.

Now, your high school is probably brimming with complete rookie trainers anxious to show off their freshly caught mons to their peers. Kids who don’t have a clue about battling. This could mean some easier battles for Houndour. Also, there’s a good chance that your classmates have found out places to safely acquire obedient or at the very least, easy to handle Pokémon.
On the other side, Houndour is still not used to crowds and if she gets overwhelmed by the number of people and creatures there’s no telling what she could do if you aren’t firm with her. Just yesterday she was ready to attack your sister after deeming her “weak”.

So, you should.

Houndour seems too skittish to bring into class and I do not trust the retards at our school to not poke the dog when we're not around.
>>
>>5797613
>Regarding school

Regular compulsory education is very much like the one in our world. Literature, Math, Science, History, Geography, the usual subjects.

Pokémon-related things are usually mentioned or form a core part of these subjects to a varying degrees. There are elective classes focused on Pokémon training but Anon has never taken one.

And regarding his prowess on school related matters, ANON is barely passing the subjects. He doesn't care much for his education, seeing most of the subjects as entirely pointless but understands the need for a diploma. So he gives the bare minimum of his energy, time and attention to classes in order to get passing grades.

>[FATHER]: I’m telling this for your own good, stop it. Don’t make me angrier than I already am.

Killing this cruel fuck would cause a lot of problems with the police and whoever his Nuzzle supplier is in the long run, but he deserves no sympathy. As grave as it is to say something this about about a human life, the world is better off without people like him. Our best way of approaching this is making connections and pulling favors to let us take Anon's sister along without ruffling the real life levels of corrupt CPS before his father inevitably begins to molest her. You clearly don't know what it's like to have friends and relatives who suffered abuse like that, nor to have experienced it yourself.

>Murder is pretty high up on the naughty list, sociopath anon.
I'm pretty sure that, barring third world shitholes and some places in East Asia, people would be inclined to agree that a violent molester is more of a psychopath than a guy that kills him as a last resort to protect the victims, especially when the legal avenues don't do anything.

immediately followed by >You clearly don't know what it's like to have friends and relatives who suffered abuse like that, nor to have experienced it yourself.
It's like pottery, it rhymes.

I agree the world is better off without him, I disagree making a child a killer when we can just take the sister and run. Training so if he ever shows up again the only thing he gets is one of his own beatings.

Take away everything he has, his power, his children, his dominance and we aren't even going to have to kill him. I'm sure he'll handle it himself.

Sorry you went through whatever you went through, but molestation hasn't even been hinted at in the quest yet, so I think you're mixing up some details in your judgement. I don't believe people are good or bad deep down - anyone can be good if they try to be. The issue is dad has stopped trying. If we were omniscient and could know for sure that he will never improve then perhaps killing him would be the moral move, but we aren't.

>He projects and blames Anon for his own failings

> With no one left to blame
He'll either blame us directly, or start taking it out on Zangoose. Or drink himself to death. Introspection is not this man's strong suit, and neither is impulse control.

A road to redemption probably requires us to best him in a pokemon battle so we have physical authority, then take over his life and watch him like a hawk. Force him sober, force him into a support group, force him out of drug dealing. Probably have to fight a drug gang at that point too.

As you watched your sister go on her way, the awkwardness still lingered in the air. But there’s no time to dwell on it. Taking out your bike you get ready to meet Houndour before class, there’s a chance you could find some easier opponents to battle during lunch and that would certainly help her get some more experience in combat. On the other, having her around such a large, cramped crowd that is a classroom full of teens seems like a recipe for disaster, so you’ll have her wait near the entrance, and call her out if the opportunity arises.

As you start to pedal the bike, the dull pain becomes more noticeable, your muscles ache most uncomfortably. There seem to be no broken bones, or at least you want to believe there aren’t, but trying to ride your bike, or any activity that requires some amount of physical effort is rather painful.

>ANON is currently BRUISED AND BATTERED, rolls regarding PHYSICAL ACTIONS will get a -15 penalty from the highest roll until he’s recovered.

After a short, albeit difficult ride in account of your injuries, you arrive at Houndour’s hiding spot, the old alleyway at the side of the abandoned apartment complex. She looks rather, different. To be more precise, her stare, the way she looks at you seems to have changed. Her apathetic expression has changed, there’s a hint of confusion in her eyes. The canine approaches you a tad more eager than before, inspecting you with her keen sense of smell.

Once she’s finished, she gives you a disheartened look. Is it disappointment? Pity? You aren’t sure, but Houndour looks almost melancholic for a moment before shaking off and returning to her usual self.

Before you know it, the two of you stand before your destination. “Ordaz Highschool” is an underfunded public school that prepares the youth of today for the disappointments of tomorrow. There’s not much of note in your school, or at least you haven’t seen anything of the like. The school’s battling team is mediocre at best. No notable people to speak of have come from these learning halls. And the more exposure it has had was when a member of the drama club killed himself on stage a couple of years ago in a freak accident involving a Hypno. But that’s a story for another time.

Just like you predicted, kids are gathering in droves with their newly acquired mons, most of them seem to have small, mammal-like normal types you can find anywhere on the street, they are either playing around, showing their critters to their friends, or are struggling to get them to listen to them. Easy pickings.

Even then, among the sea of incompetent rookies, there are some outliers you can see. Some of the kids have managed to bring rarer mons, you want to get a better read at what you are dealing with here but first, you need to deal with Houndour.

First off he is not exactly clean, he wouldn't want police snooping around his house.
Second our sister can vouch for us.
Third if that is not enough evidence I believe there are pokemon capable of telepathy, Alakazam can do it in PMD and a number of pokemon have the ability Telepathy.
Fourth option is just to settle it with a pokemon battle if we are strong enough, maybe we can call in a favor from Hiiro and do a 2v2 team battle

Dad doesn't really have a lot of value to his words, is he even in a gang?

We aren't in a gang either so we have no protection

Tell Houndour that you need her to wait here and avoid any trouble, she’s been doing alright so far, so you expect her to keep it up. You know she’s able to.

A glance around reveals a small ditch near the school grounds. It should suffice as a hiding spot for Houndour during the next couple of hours.
After placing her food and water on the ground you instruct her to stay in place and only come out if you call for her. From what you read at the library, Houndours are supposed to have pretty nifty hearing and she seems to be able to recognize your voice after a couple of days of being together.
So far, she hasn’t disappointed. You are not on friendly terms, but she’s proven willing to follow your commands as long as it benefits her. You are slowly but certainly coming to an understanding. Now, you want to believe that she’ll be able to stay put and avoid trouble without further goading.

“Houndour, I’m not sure how much of my words you understand so I hope I can get my point across. You’ve done a good job so far and I expect that you’ll be able to keep it up.”

You want to make it clear that you are placing your expectations upon her. Her ears perk up at the change in your tone, but her facial expression is rather awkward and confused. Having someone put their trust in her must be a completely new experience for the mutt, even if it's something so simple.

>Houndour has started to feel the burden of responsibility!

Leaving the canine behind you venture inside the learning facility. Your school day starts with the daily greeting of a security guard and a metal detector. It was put a couple of years ago to reduce the number of students sneaking knives, pistols, and the most dangerous of all, loaded Poke balls. The guards ask for a Trainer License for anyone carrying the capturing devices before letting them in.

Why do they do this but let people with roaming Pokémon roam around the school grounds? Because they can see and prepare for what’s coming if any kid tries to sic their beast onto others. You can’t do much if someone were to say, sneak half a dozen Electrode, free them in the cafeteria during lunch hours, and instruct them all to Self-Destruct at the same time. Not like you’ve ever considered doing so, it’s just a thought.

As you walk through the halls of these prestigious halls of teenage apathy and hormones you glance upon a little group who are raising quite the ruckus. A group of three thugs from a higher grade are harassing this tiny, skinny kid dressed in all black. You recognize the victim, he’s in your class.

“Where are you going in such a hurry? Are you too busy to say hi to your friends? You little bitch I feel like that lack of respect demands some retribution. To compensate for our hurt feelings” The largest of the kids taunts in a verbose manner. The little guy, being surrounded can only look at the floor while trying to stutter pointless explanations at his aggressors.

For an unfortunate draw of fate, this group of assholes have designated this kid as their personal punching bag and errand boy. They expertly toe the line between inane harassment and actual harm to not raise the attention of the mostly apathetic school body. Going back and forth from verbal abuse disguised as friendly jabs to the occasional physical injury.

The kid raises his head and looks around, looking for an out, he recognizes you, and then…

>He sighs, knowing that not you, nor anyone would help him. You are just another apathetic bystander to his daily torment. Who can blame you? It’s not your problem in any way shape or form.
>He looks at you expectantly, waiting to be saved. You made the mistake of standing for the kid once, on a whim, and he has become a pest you can’t get rid of. Always trying to follow you around like a pathetic, lost puppy.
>He becomes even more mortified, you may not be part of this group of reprobates, but you’ve taken advantage of the kid a couple of times, robbing him of his money for you and your sister. He’s just a pushover that you aren’t afraid to take advantage of.
>He quietly asks for your help. You’ve helped this kid a couple of times in the past, not out of the kindness of your heart or anything like that. For cash. He’s willing to pay you, around 1,000 to 1,500 bucks.
>With a worried look, he motions you to keep walking. For some reason, this kid has gotten the idea that you are in the same position as him. He hovers around you and tries to talk to you every now and then. Since the two of you have no friends to speak of, he has gotten the idea that you are a “comrade in arms” of some sort.

The moment the kid lays his eyes on you his expression changes from dejected acceptance of the abuse to a desperate plea for help. His anguished face pleads for your assistance in silence. Once he’s got your attention, he lifts his fingers to communicate that he’s got 1,500 ready to go if you are willing to aid him.

The current victim of this trio of truants is named Isaiah, an unassuming, awkward kid who happens to be a complete pushover. Reserved and neurotic, he tried to come out of his shell and interact more with his classmates only to find himself in the crosshairs of a group of teens with a sadistic streak. The bullying trio found delight in his reactions to the torment and his seemingly complete lack of a backbone.

Currently, one of the lackeys has been strangling Isaiah’s neck with a chokehold while dragging him along. They are seeing how long can their “Dear friend Isaiah” hold his breathing, belittling and emasculating him every time he tries to tap out.

Usually, you believe that people need to resolve their problems on their own. You are alone in this world, and you can only rely on yourself. But you are willing to betray those flimsy ideals for some cold hard cash. Helping the kid escape these situations while trying to avoid getting into them yourself. So far, you’ve managed to escape the ire of the torpid tormentors thanks to your lack of general presence.

Now, this is a tricky situation. Two of the petty abusers are upperclassmen, which means they most likely got their Trainer License already and got mons with them, probably inside their Poke balls. The younger lackey is in your grade and has no Pokémon with him. You aren’t sure what mons belongs to them, but you are sure you’ve seen a Hitmon-Lee hanging around with them.

And if it were to come down to blows, you are also at a disadvantage. One of the upperclassmen is massive. Tall and heavy. While the other two have a more athletic build. Their leader in particular seems to work out on the regular, his physique clear to see thanks to his off-brand tracksuit that might be a size too small to make him look more ripped.

To make matters worse. The injuries you sustained last night are more than fresh. Limiting your movement and physical strength.

Still, Isaiah looks at you expectantly. Clutching fiercely to the hopes that somehow, you’ll manage to get him out of this predicament.

"Hope in reality, is the worst of all evils because it prolongs the torments of man," Some pretentious twat with a funny mustache said so before going off the rocker after catching syphilis.

Now, will you help this young man in exchange for the appropriate monetary compensation?

Regarding this Kid (Isaiah)'s physical appearance. I was thinking something like a lamer Gladion. But Trevor probably fits the bill better. Suburban Punk sounds too cool for him. >77-15 = 62 PASS

Nonchalantly, you approach the trio. Walking through the hallways as usual. Just another passerby filling the halls of the school. You are so effective at hiding your presence and intentions that even Isaiah seemed to doubt that you were going to help him after all.

They don’t see it coming. Your closed fist crosses the mere meters of space between you and the face of the thug that was choking the spineless victim. It makes contact, you can feel the impact on your knuckles leaving a dull pain behind.

You were aiming for his jaw but were off by a couple of inches, most of your fist connecting with the right side of his face. The shock makes his grip on Isaiah’s neck falter, giving the kid a chance to escape. The assailant stumbles to the floor, sitting on his ass, taking a moment to recompose himself. He’s not knocked out, but he’ll be out of it for a couple of minutes.

While Isaiah scampers away from the scene, the other two take a moment to process what just transpired, the pair, worried, ask their friend if he's alright but he can only slurry and mumble his responses, complaining about the pain. You use this opportunity to run out of sight.

“What the fuck man?!”
“You want to start some shit? Come back here and let’s do this!”
“We are coming for you, asshole!”

The pair of thugs still standing break into a spring trying to catch up to you, hurling provocations and threats your way.

You can hear them approach, they are hot in pursuit, but the hallways have become a tad more chaotic than usual, with all the newbie trainers that brought their recently acquired beasts to the institution.

You better rendezvous with Isaiah later to get your payment. But first, you need to lose these thugs. The two of them most certainly have mons but haven't sent them out yet. From what little you've learned from the remedial class. Licensed Trainers, assaulting unarmed civilians with their mons can land them in hot water.

>Play it safe. Go somewhere where teachers are nearby. These thugs don’t seem particularly bright, but they are less likely to try something in front of faculty members.
>Stop running, stand your ground, and confront them. You managed to take one of them out, you probably can handle the other two.
>Lure them into one of the bathrooms, out of sight from the faculty. There, you can deal with them more freely. You still have some empty bottles and the pillowcase filled with rocks inside your bag.
>Fuck school. Try to sneak through one of the exits at the side of the building and then climb the fence surrounding the school grounds. You may try to sneak back during lunch.
>Call Houndour for backup.

Once outside the door post up and swing at nut height, the other one can get an ember. Even if it doesn't hit it's gonna scare the shit out of him. Also give the pup a treat if she plays her role well and use some nice team language.

Guys, never back into an area with no secondary form of egress, especially when out numbered. That fucked up door works against us if they catch us and can get in. Then we are locked up with 3 big dudes who are out for blood.

If it does win, while hiding prep our rock sack and bottles at least.

Let's hide, but if they find us, we have our ace up our sleeve. Let's hope we don't have to use it. Also I want to keep Houndour out of teenage bullshit shenanigans and focus on battling officially. Better to build her habits early, and we still don't know if she's the type to cut and run or die fighting.

You run frantically through the halls, pushing aside anything in your way. You can’t afford to give an inch. Your current injuries are already bad enough as it is.
All those hours biking around town have given you plenty of stamina and leg strength that should let you outrun the attackers, but the bruises on your body make the escape painful, slowing you down. They are catching up to you, inching closer and closer until, from what seems to be a random stroke of luck, both trip and fall face-full into the hallways. Their feet were seemingly glued to the floor. They struggle to get up. This gives you a chance to lose them for good.

Once you’ve made enough distance between you and them, you keep running until you arrive at an old classroom that has been repurposed as a storage room. The door is firmly stuck in place unless you push it a certain way, so most students assume is locked with a key. It’s a decent enough hiding place, even if they decide to enter, there are some hiding spots inside that could serve as hiding spots for a surprise attack. You almost relax for a minute until you hear the sound of footsteps hurrying towards the room. Ducking behind a small mound of desks and chairs, you get the pillowcase filled with rocks out of the bag and prepare to strike and run.

The pursuer outside of the room fumbles with the door for a couple of seconds. You hope they’d just give up and go on their way, but they manage to enter. You brace yourself for the upcoming conflict, tightening your grasp on your impromptu weapon. There’s only one pair of steps now. Did they split to look for you? This makes things easier.
They are approaching your hiding spot, so you act fast. You sneak around the corner, ready to strike from a blind spot. You move fast, ready to strike at the back of the head but you end up hesitating. The person you were about to whack, isn’t one of your pursuers. It’s another student, a Spinarak hangs from her shoulder, watching her back. The critter sees you ready to attack its master and respond with a shot of webbing aimed directly at your face.

“Shit!” you curse as you wildly swing the pillowcase full of rocks reflexively. Your voice startles the unknown invader. Who lets out a quick shriek before hurriedly apologizing because of the Pokémon preemptive attack. “Sorry! We didn’t mean that! We aren’t here to hurt you, we are allies!”

You quickly rip off the web from your face to get a good look at your assailant. It’s an unknown girl who sports a live Spinarak crawling around her back. Her face is a bit homely. She has short, blonde hair tied up in pigtails and an ear-to-ear smile adorned by brightly shining braces, outfitted in an obnoxious outfit sporting bright, garish colors and an ungodly number of pins strewn about. She also sports a medical eye patch for some reason.

Feeling irritated, you demand the girl to explain herself before things get violent. She doesn’t seem very fazed by your threat but complies with an excess of enthusiasm. Her words are loud and full of arrogance, posing dramatically to punctuate every sentence. While she does it, her Spinarak crawls her shoulder, holding tightly to not fall off while its trainer poses.

[Delusional Girl]: Fret not my brother in arms!
[Delusional Girl]: Let me introduce myself.
[Delusional Girl]: I’m an ally to the fallen and downtrodden!
[Delusional Girl]: Sworn enemy to those who torment and abuse the weak!
[Delusional Girl]: The savior forsaken by heavens! Who will defeat the die Ordnung!
[Delusional Girl]: The bearer of the sacred eye who can understand the hearts of Pokémon!

[ANON]: The threat of violence still stands. Just get to the point.

[Delusional Girl]: You are an impatient one, aren’t you? That’s not bad at all! An ally of justice needs to be quick to jump into action!
[Delusional Girl]: I’m Leuchtender Diamant. Leader of the “gefallener Engel” and I’m here to officially welcome you into… Wait, where are you going?

She asks without any of her boisterous confidence when she sees you already heading through the door. You started to walk away the moment she started to painfully imitate a foreign accent when trying to pronounce her obviously made-up name.

Seeing your lack of hesitation and overall complete disinterest in whatever she was saying she orders her thoughts and explains why she followed you. After seeing you sucker-punching one of the thugs and helping Isaiah escape, she decided to aid “your noble soul”. While the abusers chased you, she ordered her Spinarak to shoot some web at their feet during the chase, making the trip.

Alright, that’s all you need to know. So you once again, try to flee the storage room and not spend a second any longer with this obviously delusional teen.
>>
>>5812945
[Delusional Girl]: Wat! I see you are an ally of justice as well!
[ANON]: What?
[Delusional Girl]: The way you defended that poor kid.
[Delusional Girl]: Even if your methods are underhanded, anyone who stands in the name of what’s right is worthy of joining our ranks.
[Delusional Girl]: Like a fallen dark knight.
[Delusional Girl]: So, what do you say? Want to join me on my crusade? I shall mentor you!
[ANON]…No?
[Delusional Girl]: Pretty please?
[ANON]: No, piss off.
[Delusional Girl]: C’mon. I saw that burning passion when you delivered that nasty haymaker to that unsuspecting brute!
[Delusional Girl]: Tell me your heart doesn’t yearn for justice just like mine does! Did you not feel anything after putting those nasty malefactors in their place?

Regarding, throwing a Sucker Punch at the thug choking the life out of Isaiah.

It would be a lie to state you didn’t feel anything when you decked that asshole straight in his face. The girl’s question makes you put into thought your feelings on the matter and to get a clearer picture, you inadvertently share those thoughts out loud. Sometimes putting things into words lets you paint a clearer picture and it’s not like it matters what this crazy person thinks about you, so you can afford to be completely honest.

[ANON]: Alright. It was satisfying to punch the lights out of that waste of space.

[Diamant?]: There’s that budding blazing passion I was talking about!

[ANON]: Not for “justice” or whatever nonsense you are thinking of.

[Diamant?]: Then, why risk yourself? I can tell you were already injured. Probably from fighting against the forces of darkness that lurk around the hearts of man…

[ANON]: Shut up, you are ruining my train of thought.
[ANON]: That guy was most likely physically stronger, and he wasn’t alone. Besides his cohorts, they most likely had Pokémon with them since two were upperclassmen. In a fair fight, I’d be outclassed on almost all fronts
[ANON]: I had everything going against me. But a surprise punch brought him down to his knees and I managed to outrun them.

[Diamant?]: …
The girl doesn’t interrupt. She listens unmoving, focusing on your every word.
[ANON]: There’s something about bringing down someone stronger than you that just feels…
[ANON]: Cathartic, I think is the right word.
[ANON]: The sensation of being in control of the situation, of coming out on top when the odds are against you.
[ANON]: That feeling is worth the risk.
[ANON]: Also, I got paid for doing it.
[ANON]: Sorry, I’m not whatever delusional fantasy you’ve projected onto me.
[ANON]: Thanks for the assist with the Spinarak though. Now, leave me alone.

The girl is stary-eyed, her gaze intensely fixed at you. Grinning from ear to ear after hearing your response. Just, positively and absolutely, fucking elated.

[Diamant?]: You are the dark brooding hero I was waiting for…

[ANON]: Shut up. I don’t need you bringing any attention to me. If I’m lucky, those guys didn’t get a good look at my face. You should stay in the down low as well.

[Diamant?]: Got it my “Kampfgefährte”!

[ANON]: Stop it.

The girl is relentless in her delusional derived enthusiasm, but at least she seems civil enough to respect your privacy and give you some space.

Thankfully, the rest of the day transpires without much notice. The trio of thugs don’t seem to recognize you. You notice them asking about who suckered punch their friend earlier, but since your presence is so unnoteworthy, nobody can tell it was you.

You spend the rest of the day analyzing the bunch of newbie trainers who brought alone their little critters to school grounds. It takes you some time, but you manage to broadly categorize the other rookie trainers in helpful categories.

The first and most numerous group: The regulars.
These are kids who seem to have a poor grasp of the whole Trainer business. Complete beginners that either struggle to make their critters listen to their commands or have found a non-threatening mon that is easy to handle. The large majority of them have Normal Types and Flying Types that you could find almost anywhere trough the city or sold for cheap in a local pet store.
Most of these kids are treating their Pokémon as regular pets or are getting frustrated because they don’t automatically comply with their orders like machines or characters in a video game. Even if they ignore their trainers, they seem harmless for the most part, with a tranquil disposition.

The punks.
There’s a small group of wannabe thugs that have crowded together. A lot of newbie trainers want to make a good impression on the more seasoned juvenile delinquents, so they get accepted in whatever little self-proclaimed gang they are in. Their devil-may-care attitude is reflected in their mons. They seem less disciplined and more ferocious than the first ones. More prone to violence and attacking without being commanded too. Some of the thugs try to restrain their critters with chains and leashes to various degrees of success and are quick to try and pick up fight to test the mettle of their critters. The annoying rapping duo from the remedial class is included in their ranks.

Poké-maniacs
Then there are the specialized clubs. Groups of Poké-maniac that seem to have an interest in a particular type of mon as well as guidance from senior club members. The most prominent ones are the “Bug-Maniac Club” who, unlike the regulars, actually have an inkling of how to properly raise, command, and battle their critters.

There’s also the “Occult Club” a group of nerds with a taste for the macabre. An unofficial group of weirdos that have assembled to share their love for the strange and the unknown. They are annoying to deal with but usually keep to themselves. This fascination with the unexplainable extends to their mons, a few of them got Ghost and Psychic types with them. Pokémon that are usually hard to raise and control but thanks to their experience on the subject, they have managed to tame them despite being new to this.

[2/3]

>>5813959
Try-hards:
The “Battling Team” is the official school group for students aiming to be trainers. They aren’t anything special by any metric, constantly losing tournaments and competitions. Still, they have an inflated sense of self-importance and are a loud, obnoxious bunch for the most part. A bunch of try-hard rookies who seem to take this whole battling business more seriously are flocking around them, trying to make the team. They are certainly more intense and driven than the other groups but, they are still fresh faces to the world of Pokémon training. You could exploit that unfounded sense of confidence in combat.

And finally, the irregulars.
And then there are the kids who “got it”. The best way you could describe these kids is. “Hiiro -like”, while not as strange and unnaturally talented for battling as the selective mute himself. There’s something that just seems different about these kids. They aren’t cobbled together in any group, instead, they are either by themselves or hidden amongst other groups. They just seem comfortable and in sync with their mons. That crazy chick, Diamond, or whatever would fall into this category as to how naturally she conducted herself with her Spinarak crawling all over her torso.

Now, lunch hour is about to start. This is a moment you can use to try and get some sparring done.

You edge towards the entrance of the school and call Houndour to your side. It takes her a minute to meet you at the entrance. Seems like she hasn’t landed herself in any trouble. Good, she’s starting to listen to you.
The security guard standing by the entrance stares at the mangy canine. “That mon yours? Can you keep it under control?” he asks. You tell him that there’s nothing to worry about and he lets her in.

Houndour moods turns sour once she gets a whiff at the large number of people and mons on the precinct. She’s quick to growl at everybody on her way, warning them to stay away. You don’t mind the low growling, but whenever she gets in position to attack you are quick to call her out and snap her out of it. “We are not here to fight yet. We are going to watch and learn.” After spending so much time together you have started to pick up on some cues whenever she means to lounge or attack someone. The position of her legs whenever she gets ready to pounce, the quickening of her breathing and how many teeth is she showing. All of these cues tell you when she just wants some space and when she’s getting ready to try and rip someone’s throat off.

You finally opted to observe the Poké-maniacs. Those guys have both passion and technical knowledge about Pokémon. Things you are sorely lacking in. You’d like to find a Fire Type specialist, but there’s no group of them, nor do you notice anyone like that around the newbies. Maybe you could find an upperclassman or a more seasoned trainer later, but in the meantime, you don’t see any.

The “Occult Club” is by their lonesome on a secluded corner of the schoolyard. The rookie trainers are sparring between themselves, supervised by the older members of the group. Seems like they are testing the effects of the Dark Type moves against Psychic and Ghost Types, as well as examining the resistances that Dark Type mons have against them.

The Bug-maniacs were teaching the newer members how to properly handle Bug Types without startling them and getting attacked by their venomous critters. They seemed to be going through the basics on how to approach and befriend Bug Types until they started getting harassed and provoked by some well-off douche who is parading around the Charmander he bought from the breeders. The asshole is stating how pointless is to raise Bug Types if they can get easily squished by a stronger mon.
One of the members is confident that he can defeat the Charmander with a Weedle he recently caught.

Seems, like the Occult Club is winning. I'll finish writing the update and I'll post it in a couple of hours. Sorry, long day.

On the meantime. A question! What was [ANON]´s first impression on that strange girl with the Spinarak. The self proclaimed Diamant?

>>5815494
It actually went great! It was a very small and private thing, but she seemed really happy. I can proudly state that I'm an engaged man.
>>
>>5816317
She was an annoying delusional tryhard wannabe. An autistic powerstarved weirdo that came on too strong and shows a fundamental detachment from reality. Someone utterly divorced from reality, which is a privilege we can't afford. Someone who subscribes to justice as a perfect ideal, and not a corrupt system's carrot on the end of a big stick. Someone who probably read books about knights and heroes, and doesn't live in the kind of world where fathers get high and beat their sons within an inch of their life.

Weird that a girl talked to us. She'd be kind of cute if she wasn't so cringe.

Useful retard with her Spinarak and trainer tips. Felt kind of good letting out the edgy motivation truth and having her like it, but she's also kind of an idiot for liking that. Drop the hair and and lose the glasses, and she might be almost cute. She's literally teenage Cynthia in looks except a bit fucked up. Anon is unable to not like her at least a little from that.

>The Occult Club

A part of you wants to see if that Weedle is able to defeat the Charmander, and tips regarding how to handle Bug Types could be useful down the line. But it’s more practical to focus on the Pokémon you have on hand.

While the sparring took place, the senior members kept waxing philosophical about the nature of Dark Type Pokémon trying to impress his juniors.

If we think about types as a way to categorize and define the nature of Pokémon. Dark Types sit in a weird spot. Elemental types, water, fire, rock. Those are self-explanatory. Even Ghost Types could be defined by the immaterial nature they possess.

But what makes a mon, a Dark Type? They are usually associated with the night. Mostly with the darkness of those quiet hours of the day. Darkness isn’t a thing. It’s a lack of light. In some eastern regions, they used to call them “Evil” types because of their general disposition, but that is still too vague.

The senior member takes out a calm and relaxed Murkrow and a Poochyena who seems anxious and jumpy. He then makes them spar with the Chimecho and Gastly of other members.

During the bout, the opposing trainer instructs the Psychic and Ghost type to try the moves “Astonish” and “Confusion” on both to compare the effects.

Chimecho’s body glows, as it becomes surrounded by a strange energy that it releases upon its opponent. When it approaches the frightened Poochyena the energy stops in its tracks a couple of meters before making contact, dissipating rather violently. The Dark Type looked startled and jumped out of the way even when it wasn’t necessary.

In contrast, when it tried the same move on the nonchalant and collected Murkrow the attack almost seemed to hit, until the last second when the psychic energy dissipated mere centimeters before making contact with Murkrow’s body, who didn’t even seem to react to the attack.

Something similar happened when it tried to use Astonish. In both cases, the Chimecho scurried around the battlefield to take them by surprise, striking with its lower body. The attack lost potency a bit earlier before striking the panicky Poochyena who scampered off after being hit. In comparison, Murkrow tanked the blow without worry before retaliating with full force.

Then, when he commanded both to use Dark Type moves against the Ghastly, the senior member told the rest to observe the difference between the attacks.

[1/2]
>>
>>5818388
Murkrow’s Thief was a quick strike, nothing special. While the anxious Poochyena’s Bite seemed more vicious, doing a bit more damage. After the battle, the panicky Pooch seemed much more exhausted than the cool and collected Murkrow, panting heavily and taking a moment to lay down and rest.

Nothing about the attacks seemed to be any different than what could be a Normal Type move. But managed to hurt Ghastly’s seemingly intangible body. The senior member explained that a good chunk of Dark Type moves seems to be purely physical, and should be Normal Type moves by all accounts, but there’s more than meets the eye when it comes to Dark Types.

The members of the club asked if this was the result of some form of training, and how large was the difference in strength between the Murkrow and the Poochyena but the senior member claimed to be none.

“Of course, putting more emotion onto an attack is obviously going to make it stronger. But I believe Dark Types embody this idea to an extreme extent.” He explains to his impressed juniors.

“Since Dark Types have only been recognized as a Type of their own a couple of decades ago, there’s still much to learn about them. There’s some research suggesting that Dark Types, similarly to Psychic and Ghost Types, are able to manipulate some form of imperceptible energies or frequencies that human senses can’t fully understand. “

He believes these energies coat their body like an invisible miasma. The theoretical energy is what intercepts Psychic attacks, weakens Ghost moves, and allows them to strike at the incorporeal bodies of the Ghost Types.

He also hypothesizes that this invisible miasma is also susceptible to intense emotional response. Its production seems to increase according to the emotional response of the user. That’s why the anxious Poochyena stopped the attack earlier and his Bite was more damaging than Murkrow’s attack. But a Pokémon whose emotions run wild during battle is not a reliable asset. That’s why an equilibrium must be found.

“It’s all about their temperament. Teaching them how to handle their inner self during battle”

The group leader notices you and Houndour looking at them from a distance, and nonchalantly tells you to join them if you ever feel inclined. He rambled a bit too much for your taste, but he spoke with confidence.

As the Occult Club prepares to leave the scene you hear a voice calling you out. It’s Isaiah, the boy looks to be running out of breath. He promptly hands you the $1,500 he promised you for helping him out with his aggressors and apologizes for taking so long. He wanted to wait until the three of them were occupied before meeting you, just to be on the safe side. “Those bastards are busy using their stupid Hitmonlee to beat rookie trainers”

[2/3]
>>
>>5818406
[Isaiah]: They make me sick. They think they are above everything else just because nobody cares enough to stop them, nobody gives a shit. They are all complaining, turning a blind eye even though it’s right in front of them.

[Isaiah]: They aren’t superior to me, nor to anyone. They are diseased, ignorant, barely above maggots. Someone has to remind them how insignificant and weak they are, how weak we all are. Someone needs to make them pay. They all need to pay…

[Isaiah]: Don’t you agree [ANON]?

>You agree with Isaiah, you want to see those assholes suffer. Let him know that.
> "Hey, if you are thinking on doing something about it, good for you. But keep me out of it."
> “Dude, I just want my money.”
> “Calm down, they are just assholes. They are a part of life.”
>This kid is giving you a bad feeling. Just take the money and go without saying anything else.
> “The strong will always take advantage of the weak. That’s life.”

These are both true. Seething about pathetic assholes lording it over you makes no sense because there will always be pathetic assholes just barely superior to you. Living in a constant state of seething sucks. Therefore, all you should do is become strong enough to beat the bastard in front of you like Anon's dad. I doubt we can dissuade school-shooter-kun but slight redirection in line with Anon's views might work.

A girl I went to to grade school through high school with and was always cute, dated for a couple years in middle school, and came from a wealthy family where dad was a doctor and mom was a lawyer turned into a troll a couple years after she finished college. Like she had the deck stacked so much in in favor it was unfair, but now she is queer/bisexual and pretty gross looking. Lives in Austin of course...

Usually it's your first time out from under a parent's thumb and in a massively different, largely indifferent, social setting. People have to find a new group to fall in with and change accordingly. Why do you think most guys friends after college are their college roommates?
>>
>>5822059
Ok so then in that case, would it be safe to assume that most college groups of the girl variety are "woke"?
>>
>>5822562
Hardly, it's just that your choices will seriously effect your own beliefs and character. If you go into sociology and join the student government, you'll probably end up "woke". Make different choices, and you'll end up otherwise. It also massively depends on the culture of the Uni itself. Mine was fairly liberal, but there are plenty of Christian and/or mildly right-wing institutions as well.

>>5822562

There’s a certain aggression to Isaiah’s question. Not directed towards you but towards everything surrounding the boy. A part of you understands it, feeling that wrath and being unable to do anything about it.

You’ve seen it. Isaiah has been dealing with that trio of abusers for more than a year now. They’ve been amping up the harm steadily, every week they seem to be taking it a little further. It started with playful ribbing and insults disguised as humor between friends, being treated as an errand boy. Harmless pranks that became less innocuous with time, playful slaps that turned into gut punches. Isaiah’s clothes are all ragged or torn, his arms and neck are always sporting bruises and shallow cuts.

They seem to be seeing how far they can take it before retribution comes knocking down on their asses, and because of Isaiah's demure disposition and nature as a pushover, it never came. It took this long for his self-preserving instincts to start kicking in.

Houndour seemed a bit antsy, she seemed to stare intensely at Isaiah’s throat while taking a step back, getting ready to pounce and bite his neck at a moment's notice. She must have felt Isaiah’s violent disposition and probably considers him weak enough to be easily disposable. The mutt keeps looking at you as if asking for your orders to attack.

Well, at least she seems to be asking for permission before trying to maul someone. Progress.

You tell the Houndour to stand down and respond to Isaiah. He seems unstable, looking for validation for the fury he’s been feeling. He’s looking for that little push that sends him over the edge. An accomplice maybe? But you are not the one to deal with the problems of others without compensation, and while you can punch the occasional bully for a quick buck, you aren’t going to waste your time trying to solve this guy's life problem, you already have enough on your own plate. The best you can do is try and nudge him in the direction he needs to stay clear from you.

[ANON]: Calm down. They are just assholes. They are a part of life.
[ANON]: No matter where you go, there will always be those pathetic shit stains trying to lord over anyone barely weaker than them.
[ANON]: Everyone is at the mercy of those stronger than them. That’s how the world works.

[Isaiah]: Then what? Should I just sit there and take it because they are “stronger”? Don’t you feel like that is bullshit?

[ANON]: If you’re that unhappy about it, get stronger and then settle things yourself. That’s the only way out.

[Isaiah]: Are you out of your mind? They already beat the life out of me on the daily without provocation. Standing up to them would be…

[ANON]: Yeah, you’ll probably get seriously hurt in the process. But if you truly want to change things, it’ll be worth it. Probably.
[ANON]: Just try not to get yourself killed. I’d like to keep getting paid.

Before you go, Isaiah, sounding a bit desperate calls you out one last time.

[Isaiah]: Wait! Then, what the hell I’m supposed to do? They are more than me. They are bigger and have some strong mons. I got none of that.

Do you answer the plea of this desperate boy?

You have the advantage of team building against them. Leverage it. If you're really serious go fetch a Rookidee. With enough time it will become a powerful steel/flying defensive monster you can ride.

You know words of encouragement are pointless attempts to uplift someone, you aren’t the kind to waste its time in such pointless endeavors. If you want to give this kid something of use the least you can do is try and give him some useful advice.

After all, to some extent, his problems are similar to your situation at home. That’s an issue that you’ve mulled over countless times in your mind, and you are still debating internally about how to handle it.

[ANON]: You don’t need to be stronger than them all the time. Just for a single moment.

[Isaiah]: What do you mean?

[ANON]: Observe your target, wait for the moment when they are most vulnerable. When the odds aren’t in their favor. That’s when you need to overpower them.
[ANON]: No matter what, keep your focus. Remember your goal. Keep your mind on the little steps in front of you.
[ANON]: Sometimes the difference between defeat and victory is razor thin, so each step counts for something.

That’s what you’ve been trying to do at least. Slowly, but surely looking for a way towards something better. You are still figuring out what your “out” will be, but the moment you do, you’ll fight tooth and nail to reach it.

And to do so, you need to grow stronger. Hiiro is a good measuring stick, but right now sparring with him would be like bashing your head against a wall. You need something more manageable for Houndour.

This kid seems to regard you with some respect, probably because of your lack of fear when dealing with his abusers. He could prove a useful asset for the time being.

[ANON]: Get a flying type or something and we’ll train. I need to get stronger as well.

[Isaiah]: You mean it?!

[ANON]: I’m serious. So, I expect you to take this seriously as well.

[Isaiah]: Sure! I’m dead serious about this! You can count on me.

The two of you agree to sort the details tomorrow, Isaiah has decided to get a Pokémon as soon as possible. The kid seemed to be in a better mood after you asked him to train together. As if you’ve taken a load off his shoulders, even though you are just going to be sparring partners, you have no intentions of assisting him beyond that. Still, the usually gloomy Isaiah seemed quite peppy before you went your separate ways.

Houndour started to get stressed again once lunch hour was done, so you dismissed her back to her usual hiding spot. You’ll go retrieve her once you are free.

The rest of the school day transpires without much of a note happening. You use this chance to sort your thoughts. It’s something quick but it should help you keep track of things before they get too hectic.

After a couple of hours, the final bell rings and school’s over for the day. Everyone rushes out of the halls, going in droves towards the exit. You only need to take a step outside before the Abra from the C&D corps teleports in front of you, ready to take you once again to the remedial class. Before you go, you instruct Houndour to go back to her usual hiding spot, you’ll fetch her once you are free.

In the blink of an eye, you find yourself outside the improvised classroom of the remedial class. You take a second to catch your breath, jumping through space like that makes you feel a bit nauseous.

You enter the room, already filled with the same miscreants from before. Hiiro acknowledges with a quick nod before going back to stare aimlessly at one of the windows.

“Haha! Looks like you got your ass beat!” The lanky half of the brainless thug duo is quick to mock your injured state. Even though he doesn’t look any better. He’s sporting a pretty nasty black eye and seems to be walking with a slight limp.

“Dude not cool. Bro looks like shit, lay off him for a bit.” His wheelchair-bound companion tells him to back off, possibly realizing that his cohort looks more pathetic than the one whom he is trying to intimidate.
“Whatever… Well, as I was saying, today is the day I make that flying asshole my bitch. I got a plan, listen…” They seem to be discussing plans to catch a Pokémon for the Slim dude.

On the other side of the classroom, you see Tekuani, her wrist still bandaged, but now she’s not alone. Alongside her is a Mawile, the creature sits alongside her Trainer most placidly. While her disposition seems tranquil enough, the muzzle restraining the gigantic jaws on the back of her head may suggest otherwise.

Tekuani is currently being accosted by that weird girl with brightly dyed hair. Kay-something. She’s trying to convince her to help her catch a Pokémon of her own, trying to cozy up with her with vapid compliments that are promptly ignored. She gets to the point of pleading to Tekuani but the native girl keeps refusing with short answers.

[Kay]: C’mon, we’ve gotta help each other out! Pokémon Training is still a male-dominated space, we need to stand with each other sis!

[Tekuani]: Not your sister. Go away.

After being decisively shot down, Kay returns to her seat. She throws an irritated glance at you after sitting, she’s probably still pissed about what happened yesterday.

The man in charge of your class seems to be late again, should you do something with your time? Try to interact with this group of rejects?

Heads up QM, lurker popping in-- I noticed there was a Traits/Weaknesses section, but only saw Older Brother present, so here's what I found. These are from these from last thread, in case you want them on the sheet.

>NUMB.
>Easier DC for certain rolls.

>Loner. You’ve got no friends, little to no acquaintances and you don’t really mind.

>In retrospect, you may have been a bit little too honest on the more subjective and personal questions. (You have trouble hiding your questionable state of mind and more “concerning” thoughts) (Penalty in some social-based dice rolls.)

>Light feet: You'll get a slight bonus on all other stealth rolls.

>Cooking Skills: Anon doesn’t seem to think much of his deft hands and ability inside the kitchen. He figures this must be normal for most people. But he has quite the potential as a culinary master. Rolls related to food preparation will have a bonus and will be harder to fail. A good enough roll related to cooking may grant some benefits and bonuses to the food being prepared.

Of course, you may be already taking them into account when writing, but I figure it's better safe than sorry. At any rate, keep up the good work!

A Mawile is a rare sight, you’ve heard that they live inside caves and mountain. Maybe she found it inside Silver Passage or the abandoned mines but still, it’s the first time you see one in the flesh. So you decide to approach Tekuani and ask her about it, you are also curious about what happened with those “Gyakutatsu group” bunch, they seemed dangerous but she managed to get out of there almost unscathed.

There’s something strange about such humanoid Pokémon. The Steel/ Fairy type has taken a seat as if she were part of the class. The creature keeps looking at its trainer, trying to imitate Tekuani’s tired mannerisms, she emulates the way she rests her face on her uninjured hand and how she lightly taps her feet on the ground as she waits for the class to start. The only difference is their expression, while Tekuani seems a bit tired and unamused the Mawile cheerfully smiles like a cheery child.

It’d be kind of amusing or even cute if it weren’t for the giant jaws on the back of her head trying to break out of their binds, growling deeply, moving towards the trainer.

“Niyohua” Tekuani greets you on her tongue, probably out of habit. Her expression seems more approachable than the one she had when listening to Kayleigh. Perhaps she’s willing to answer your questions.

You go straight to the point and ask her about the Mawile. She struggles to answer, not because she’s trying to hide anything from you. She just hasn’t got a good grasp on the language.

[Tekuani]: Camatl? Long story. I was told to make her obey me.
[Tekuani]: One-eyed man said it was a test. Bring the most fierce, “noble beast” I can tame and turn it useful.
[Tekuani]: Found her deep inside a cave. One-eyed man helped me restrain her.
[Tekuani]: She is hard to deal with. She’s dangerous but looks harmless. Refuses to listen.
[Tekuani]: Need to train her if I want Icniuhtzin, my friend, back.

She seems to refer to Mawile as Camatl. You aren’t sure if that’s a nickname or if that’s just the word she uses to refer to its species. Whenever Tekuani can’t find the right words, she seems to ramble in her native tongue a bit exasperated.

Then she starts to try and retell the events that transpired that night. The native girl managed to find the restaurant that the Gyakutatsu thugs were using as a hideout. She waited until she saw you and the group leave before trying to sneak in.

[1/2]
>>
>>5826461
[Tekuani]: In place where they cook there’s a hidden door.

[Tekuani]: Hidden door leads to place below.

[Tekuani]: Place below much, much larger than I expected.

[Tekuani]: It was a place of combat. The noble beasts fought
without inside cages, without masters.

[Tekuani]: Many people watched the fights, drinking, cheering and screaming.

[Tekuani]: I sneaked until I found where the noble beasts were hidden.

[Tekuani]: My friend was there, imprisoned and restrained. I tried to free him, but they found me.

[Tekuani]: I got hurt and things started to look dire.

[Tekuani]: But my friend defended me.

[Tekuani]: The men realized that Icniuhtzin, my friend, only listened to me. So, we made a deal.

[Tekuani]: There was also another group. They seemed important, dangerous. Situation was tense. People seemed angry. But no fight broke out. Even though they seemed bloodthirsty.

[Tekuani]: I probably shouldn’t say much else. But you led me to Icniuhtzin, so I’m grateful. And you already had dealings with the one-eyed men.

Usually, you'd call bullshit such story. But Tekuani spoke with a straight face the whole time, and she didn't seem the type to lie for attention. She sounds too straightforward for that.

Sounds like you led her to a den of Pyroar, not that it bothers your conscience. She decided to enter on her own accord. But from what she’s saying it seems like the Gyakkutatsu group of mobsters has struck some sort of deal with Tekuani. Are they forcing her to work for them? Or is she being inducted as a member? You want to know more about the details but it’s hard to communicate with her.

You probably could try and ask her something else. But if you keep trying to bring out more topics she might not be able to properly articulate herself.

>Ask her more about the place where she found the Mawile. If there’s somewhere in this town where wild Steel Types abound it could be a good training spot for Houndour’s fire-type moves.
>Inquire about the underground arena, what else did she see? What kind of people were there? It sounds like a pretty large and illegal operation they might be running.
>Ask about this “friend of hers”, it must be something pretty valuable to have those mobsters running amok, paying off rescues, and sparing Tekuani just because it listens to the girl.
>Why is she doing all of this? What could be so important to drive her to put herself in such danger?
>Ask her about her deal with the Gyakkutatsu group. How is it working under them? Are they paying her? If so, how much? Are there ways to be recruited?
>That’s more than you need to know. Go back to your seat and wait for class to start.

first it gains us knowledge on a possible GRINDING spot
second it sates ANON's curiosity on this serious native girl's suicidal (to him) insanity

I don't think he cares enough to want to learn more about Majima, or his gang, or this arena, or that other "important, dangerous" group that was there. Sure they have lots of money, but there's massive illegal downsides too. ANON knows full well how deadly that shit can get, and he doesn't want to die before he saves his sister from his dad, I think. The "friend" is intriguing, but he has his hands full with Houndour and this entire trainer school shitshow. There's no reason to bother with learning something so clearly dangerous and important that'll most assuredly put a massive target on his back. And no way in hell he'd care to show ACTUAL CONCERN for this hardass jungle tomboy.

This whole business sounds like a topic you are better off not knowing. You don’t want to paint a target on your back when you already have your hands full with Houndour and this remedial class waste of time.

What could be of use, is the location where Tekuani found Mawile, if there is someplace where Steel Types abound, it could be a useful training spot to improve Houndour’s Fire-Type moves and get her used to fighting.

Tekuani obliges. With her limited grasp of the language she tells you that on the edge of the city, there’s an abandoned mine located just outside city limits that has become inhabited by wild Pokémon. Rock and Ground types seem to be the most numerous, but there are areas where Steel types tend to flock.

If you want to find steel types, the girl advises you to be on the lookout for three things.
“Bite marks on the rails and equipment lead to those grey armored beasts and Camatl, large bite marks lead to strong noble beasts, leave them alone. Moss leads to the metal seeds with spikes and eyes. Strange machines are sticking from some walls, can be dangerous, they are poisonous and loud.”

You make a mental note to remember this place for later. There’s something else nagging you. You can’t understand why this girl would go to such lengths to do all this. Throwing herself directly into danger seems like this seems almost suicidal. It boggles your mind. As kindly as possible you ask her “What the fuck is she trying to accomplish that is so important to put herself in such a dangerous position.”

“You guys have a word for this". She silently muses for a second, trying to remember it.

"Revenge, I believe.” She responds nonchalantly. Keeping her explanation short without offering more details.

>Just thank her for the info and go back to your seat.
>"Is revenge more important than yourself?" To [ANON] self-preservation triumphs over everything.
>"Just don't get yourself killed. Can't get revenge that way"
>You understand her. While vengeance is pointless in the grand scheme of things. You are dying for the chance to put a certain someone in their place.

Seconding. I've been out of the modern games though, so I'm wondering what the armored beasts are. Are they little Arons?

100% down to grab a Ferroseed, instantly gives us a defensive backbone and allows us to do Spikes/Stealth Rock shenanigans (which are significantly more annoying by anime logic).

I'm assuming the four pokemon she described are Arons, Mawile, Ferroseed and Vavoom. Varoom are steel/poison types and the only thing I can think of that fit the description of "Strange Machines that are poisonous and loud."
If they are a paldean pokemon, it makes me wonder what other ones are available.

Ferroseed would be an excellent addition to Anon's party. It's evolution has an excellent type combination, great set of moves Stealth Rock is almost a staple, and a perfect defensive foil to Houndour's aggressive tactics in a double battle. Their potential type coverage and Ferroseed's hardiness would eventually earn Houndour's respect as well. We can't pass this up.

But where will we get the metal to feed Ferroseed?
>As seen in the anime, Ferroseed can absorb nutrients from rocks and use them to grow moss for oxygen; different rocks create different types of moss with a variety of effects. Notably, its spikes can grow big and strong from consuming the moss. Absorbing nutrients from rocks that come from Chargestone Cave yields disastrous results.
>Mossy caves are their preferred dwellings. Enzymes contained in mosses help Ferroseed's spikes grow big and strong.

Revenge? That’s such a wasteful endeavor. It’s completely useless in the grand scheme of things. A fleeting sense of vindication.

What good does revenge do if you risk yourself in the process? You can’t enjoy that petty pleasure of putting someone in their place if you are 6 feet underground or a rotting carcass in a dumpster.

But for a moment, you try to understand her. If your little sister, Elaine, wasn’t a factor in the equation. If you knew she’d be fine, no matter what happened to you. Would you risk it all to give the bastard that sired you what he deserves? Make him hurt just as much as he has hurt you and your sister. Even if it means risking your life?

As you picture your father hurt, scared, pleading at your mercy. You surprise yourself. As your answer seems to lean towards: yes, it would be worth it.

You return to your seat, still mulling over those thoughts until the Lieutenant arrives and class starts.

Today’s lesson is a bit more practical. The one-armed lieutenant has decided to go in-depth about the Aztlan’s gym challenge and it’s Pokémon league.

For most people getting a Trainer License is a must. The ability to carry around Pokémon for personal protection, aid with labor, and as trusted companions. Not having one limits one’s path in life very drastically, I’d go so far as to say, that a person without a Trainer License is treated as a second-class citizen.

That being said, a license is not everything you need to make it in this republic.
Pokémon training is ingrained in our very culture. Undertaking the League’s Gym Challenge is not only a rite of passage or an objective for kids dreaming of becoming professional Trainers. It’s useful to build a resume for your future.

Most jobs where you need to interact and manage Pokémon prefer to hire people with at the very least three badges. This is considered the cutoff between a complete rookie and an actual Trainer. In this day and age, Pokémon are everywhere, they are even used in office spaces, so this is what most people tend to aim for.

Six badges are required for jobs that demand more in-depth expertise regarding Pokémon and the ability to properly train them. If you are aiming for a career as a Pokémon Ranger, C&D corps member, Pokémon breeder, law enforcement, or private security. field researcher, etc. That’s what you want.

When a trainer manages to obtain all badges, they are considered a professional trainer. Expect to start getting invitations to larger tournaments, and a chance to make a career out of battling for sport. Very few make it to this point. If you manage to get this far, you’ll get a chance to enter larger events as international tournaments and challenge the Aztlan League if your performance is exemplary.

If one of your runts is lucky enough. Maybe even a shot at becoming the next champion of the region. But don’t get your hopes up.
Like most regions, the Aztlan Pokémon league has 8 Gyms across the region, all tailored around a specific Type. Steel, Ground, Grass, Water, Fighting, Dark, Fairy and Dragon.

While they are supposed to be the authority regarding training their respective types, these specialists tend to have their use their privileges as government officials to pursue their personal interests. Like the Ground Type Gym Leader who petitioned the gym to be moved to Ibarra Village as it’s a major archeological zone and appointed himself as the leading researcher of the ruins discovered in the area.

And while some of these endeavors might be seen as noble. Some others aren’t above abusing their position for purely personal gain. But that’s how it is around here.

As trainers, you can challenge the Gym in any order you want, and the leaders will adapt to the challenger’s prowess, depending on how many badges you have.

That being said. Some leaders prefer to ignore these regulations altogether.
Like our very own Gym Leader, the young lady running the Dark Type Gym, Penumbra Theater. She tends to treat her challengers as she pleases. She’s capricious and fickle and won’t doubt to utterly humiliate trainers if she finds it amusing, making them fight against Pokémon way above their intended levels. She’s especially severe with newly installed trainers or those with few badges. As a piece of advice, I said you should abstain from challenging her until you are properly prepared. She’s got a reputation as a newbie crusher.

Some have the opinion that she’s irresponsible, unstable and some even dare say, a bit insane. But her Gym is one of the most profitable ventures in the city, so authorities seem to let her have free reign on how she runs the gym.

The lean wannabe thug, who has been dozing off for most of the lecture seems to perk up and is ready to loudly interject with what is surely an introspective, thoughtful, and practical contribution to the lecture.

[Yung Slim]: Yo, you talking about that crazy bitch? The Dark Type leader? Damn, she should be the ROCK-type gym leader, cuz she makes me use “Harden”! Hoho! Get it, bro? Get it?

[Lil Don]: Yeh bro, that chick is fine. We need some baddies like her.

Lt. Marquez rubs his temple and lets out a frustrated sigh before continuing his lesson.

Anyways…Another Gym Leader you should be conscious of is the Dragon Type Leader, whose Gym is located in the deep south of Aztlan. You might already know this, or not, considering how peculiar this class is. But he’s infamous for his severe treatment of challengers.
>>
>>5829407
"He’ll forbid any trainer from challenging him again if they fail to defeat him on their first encounter. As Gym Leaders have the privilege to bar anyone they deem unfit, from undergoing their own Gym Challenge, failing here, means the end of the journey for a large number of trainers.
While not as erratic as the Dark Type leader, he’s famous for pushing the boundaries of what’s an acceptable level of challenge, he’ll throw any strategy needed to impede your victory. So, it’s generally advice to leave this Gym for last.

Any questions? If not, we can all go on with our day."

The test not only covered basics about Pokémon, but also laws and regulations regarding mons in Aztlan and some questions were there for psychological evaluation of the participants. Hiiro's exam looked a bit like this:

Applicant No. 1432: HIIRO HOONO

Q: Which Pokémon Types are super effective against Ice Types?
A: FIRE FIGHTING STEEL ROCK

TOO MANY WEAKNESSES, AND IT ONLY RESISTS ITSELF, THE TRADE OFF OF BEING SUPER EFFECTIVE AGAINST DRAGON, GRASS, GROUND AND FLYING SEEMS TO BALANCE IT OUT. BUT I’M STILL NOT SURE. SEEMS MORE VIABLE TO JUST TEACH ICE-TYPE MOVES TO POKÉMON WITH BETTER TYPE COVERAGE, NEED TO REVIEW THE BASE STATS OF EACH ICE TYPE AND TYPE COMBINATIONS AVAILABLE.

Q: If you were to see a Trainer assaulting an unarmed civilian using a Pokémon, what is the correct course of action?

A: CHALLENGE THEM TO A BATTLE IF THEIR POKÉMON STRENGTH IS SIMILAR TO MINE, IF NOT, GRIND UNTIL STRONG ENOUGH AND THEN CHALLENGE THEM

Q: Which of the following is the minimum requirement to legally breed and sell Pokémon (Multiple choice)

a) No requirements
b) Trainer License
c) At least 6 badges
d) An official Pokémon Breeder Permit.
(Scribbled down on top of the options) POKÉMON ARE FRIENDS. YOU SHOULDN’T SELL FRIENDS.

Q: Name the Types of the 8 Gyms of the Aztlan Republic:

DOESN’T MATTER A BALANCED TEAM SHOULD BE PREPARED TO FACE ANY TYPE

Q: Some moves are legally allowed to be used in self-defense against human attackers. Name some examples of these:

NOT IMPORTANT TO BECOME A POKÉMON TRAINER

Most questions that weren’t directly related to battling or training, were simply answered “DOESN’T MATTER” or if they were multiple choice, they were all A.

There’s also a very detailed doodle of a Slowpoke on the corner of some pages. If you lift it, you’ll realize it’s a 2-page flipbook where mon wags its tail from side to side.

I mean he's clearly cut out to be a monster battlewise, but the answers given in the cases of civilian assault and self defense are pretty concerning. Plus for all the questions where he wrote didn't matter, clearly they did matter, since if he answered them correctly he'd be getting his trainer license right now instead of being stuck in remedial class. “Old man, I mean. Lieutenant.
What’s the best way to start the Gym challenge then? What should I tackle first?”

Lt. Marquez seems surprised at your sudden interest.
“That’s a great question [ANON]. while it can vastly depend on how your initial team could fare against specific types, these are my personal suggestions.”

The Steel Type Gym Leader is a rigid stickler for rules, he takes his job with a lot of seriousness. So, he makes sure every trainer gets the appropriate treatment. Expect a fair challenge. The major downside is that is located pretty far, on North Pass City, but you can always take a bus there or pay for one of those Flying Type transport services.

The Fighting Type Gym is always very welcoming to rookie trainers. The leader enjoys guiding and advising challengers, analyzing their weaknesses, and telling them how to improve upon themselves. Particularly with those with few or no badges. He won’t give away a victory, but he’ll help you reach it, even offering the Gym’s advanced training facilities. If you ask me, he’s too soft of a gym leader. The gym is located in High Alva city, not too far from here.

Then there’s the Grass Type gym, presided over by a fellow Lieutenant. The Gym challenge tends to be a little unorthodox, testing both Trainers and their Pokémon in real-time with an emphasis on cooperation. She takes on any challengers unless they cause unnecessary trouble. She’s a good balance in my opinion, taking her job with the seriousness needed and aiding trainers that might need a little push. It's a decent trek out there to the woods, could take some time but it’s not as far as North Pass.
Well, that’s all I got for the day. Go home and be safe.”

The Lieutenant seemed pleasantly surprised that at least one of you showed an iota of interest in this sham. He spoke with a less disinterest than usual. He seemed to want to go more in-depth but after seeing the hour on the clock he let the group go before it got too late.

Everyone goes their separate ways. Besides those wannabe thugs who seem to be joined at the hip.

After a long day dealing with people, you are finally free. Is around 6 pm so you better make these next hours count for something. You should get Houndour and then…

Before you can do anything else, you need Houndour to be in fighting shape as quickly as possible. Her emaciated condition is holding her back and it puts the both of you at a disadvantage.

After a quick ride on your trusty bike, you find yourself browsing the local market stalls. It’s located inside a large building that resembles a large, open warehouse. Inside, independent vendors sell their wares on little stalls. You can find almost anything here, from groceries, berries, herbal medicines items like Energy Roots, and even TMs that may or might not be defective or unreliable copies.

There should be everything you need for Houndour’s diet here, and If you play it smart, you can save some bucks compared to going to a normal supermarket, you just have to be mindful of not getting ripped off or pickpocketed, but you’ve lived here in Silverpoint long enough to avoid this mishaps.

Sundown is approaching so you must be fast, as the market won’t stay open for much longer. To avoid trouble, you’ve left Houndour on standby once again, just outside the market. The place is loud, and bustling. With crowds of people browsing the myriad of stalls, the vendors all shouting to gather the attention of potential customers.

After a quick browse, you find the best deals for everything you need.

If you cut some corners here and there, you can gather the ingredients for easy-to-digest, chock full of nutrients meal for about $2,000 for a week’s worth of food.

If you want to splurge, with more potent ingredients that could speed up her recovery like Milktank’s milk and Chansey Eggs, that will cost you $1,500 extra.

You also find the specialized food that the nurse at the Pokémon center recommended to you. The cheapest brand is $2,500 and it seems to last a week.

There are also some more unorthodox ingredients prebiotics and fermented foods. Those were mentioned in one of the books you read in the library. These foods are supposed to help increase the microbiota that produces the flammable gases that Houndour uses for her fire-type moves. According to what you’ve read, feeding her these foods could improve the power behind her attacks, but it didn’t go in-depth about how to prepare it, so you’ll have to improvise. If you choose to buy this ingredient it would be another $1,000

[1/2]

(The market looks a little bit like this, picture less Water Types being sold as food, and more people instead of Psyducks.)
>>
>>5830295
Besides the food, there’s another stall that caught your attention.
A man got a kiddie pool filled with water and little blue critters, specifically Mudkips. Each one for $20,000
They are definitely not from a legitimate breeder. A “Standard Starter” with its pedigree and all that jazz from regulated breeders costs around $200,000, and that’s just a regular one. If you want one with particularly high stats, breed for battle, easy to raise that can go up to $500,000. That's why it’s quite rare to see them in the wild, people jump at the chance of getting a starter on their hands.

The vendor assures you that they are all calm and friendly to humans. Perfect as pets, he’s unsure of their battle prowess but hey, for the price he’s giving no one can’t be too picky about it.
They all look a bit dopey, but maybe that’s how all Mudkips look like. You don’t get your little sister's infatuation with the species. He most likely was lucky enough to come across them in the wild or is breeding them illegally.

There are only three left and he’s saying that is the last ones he got. They’ll probably be gone in a day or two at most.

So, what are you buying?

>The bare minimum: is $2,000. A cooking roll will determine the effectiveness of how much it improves Houndour’s condition.
>Premium ingredients: This will boost the benefits of the food you prepare. $1,500
>Ingredients to boost fire-type moves: Since you found no clear instructions on how to use them, adding them to Houndour’s meal will make the cooking roll more difficult, but if things go right it could improve Houndour’s firepower. $1,000
Or:
>White Veil’s Specialized Pokémon feed: High caloric and nutrient content. $2,500 (Guaranteed results. No cooking rolls)
>Look for something.(Might need roll)

And regarding the Mudkip Vendor:
>You can’t afford to waste $20,000 on this, just walk away.
>Maybe he can save a Mudkip for you if you offer him some cash, you’ll still have to get the remaining money pretty fast though.

Too good of a deal. It's a rip-off - maybe ditto shaped as Mudkip, hence the dopey look
>>
>>5830296
We have 11,000 on hand, 8,000 stashed.
>The bare minimum: is $2,000. A cooking roll will determine the effectiveness of how much it improves Houndour’s condition.
>Premium ingredients: This will boost the benefits of the food you prepare. $1,500
I don't want to worsen the odds on the preparation

>Maybe he can save a Mudkip for you if you offer him some cash, you’ll still have to get the remaining money pretty fast though.
Here's my idea: 5k now, go get the rest of our money and sister, then use her autism to help haggle him down- if they're not Mudkips then she'll identify it anyways.

>White Veil’s Specialized Pokémon feed: High caloric and nutrient content. $2,500 (Guaranteed results. No cooking rolls)

I'd rather have something guaranteed at this point to help Houndour than leave it to chance.

Something is definitely sketchy here and they're just trying to make a quick buck. Would have been nice to give it to Anon's sister. Feels like bait.

We can wait to get fire-type supplements, and as strange as it sounds, it would help to catch a Ferroseed by minimizing the probability of one-shotting it with Ember.

>They all look a bit dopey, but maybe that’s how all Mudkips look like.
They're most likely inbred. We'd get scammed by purchasing one of those, and our sister probability won't know how to hide it from the deadbeat.

Does anybody remember, what exactly do we need to pass the remedial class and get the license? One condition was to bring a non-balled pokemon to class, was there anything else?

Slowly catching up with thread 1; QM explicitly advised us serveral time to get another 'mon for License fighting exam.
More saillent is the nurse interraction - which states it plainly, telling it will even be good for Houndour to have another team member :

>"You also have to show her you are a strong dependable Trainer, don’t let her walk over you. For this, I actually recommend having another more docile Pokémon you can train that could serve as an example for Houndour.
Personally, I’d recommend getting an Egg and having it around her, when it hatches it can imprint on her and get her motherly instincts going, that way the two of them could accept each other faster and easier. It may take some time, probably not the best if you want to use the recently hatched mon on the Trainer Exam but consider it down the line."

I don't think egg are a good idea with how ectic our life is. However, Ferroseed is egg-shaped, so for now on i'll push hard to go look for the Silver Passage and getting one.
>>
>>5831533
I'm down to check the place out after we're done at the market, assuming it's not too far away before it gets dark. At the very least, we can get an idea of the area and then try and "catch" a Ferroseed tomorrow.

Play it safe. Get the Specialized feed.

You decide to get the specialized feed, should save you cooking time and it’s sure to be effective. You don’t want to screw things up, you need to get your girl in fighting shape as soon as possible and this is the most surefire way. You hand the cash to the vendor and get ready to leave.
>PAID: 2,500
CASH On hand: 8,600
Stashed away: 8,000

On your way out you come across the vendor selling those Mudkips. It’s too good of an offer to be legitimate, chances are that it’s probably a scam to make a quick buck. Maybe they are diseased or are ditto in disguise. And as happy as it could potentially make your sister, you can’t risk spending all the money you have.

You give the Mudkips lazing in the inflatable pool a glance, to see if you notice anything wrong with them. One of the blue amphibians ends up locking its beady, pitch-black eyes with you. Unflinching and with a completely blank expression. It makes you wonder what sort of simple thoughts go through its head if it's even capable of thought that is.

The critter slowly opens its maw and lets out a long but soft cry. Muuuuud~ before flipping to its side and letting itself float in the shallow pool, still unblinking. Yep, not a single thought in that blue, lustrous head.

It’s around 7:30 pm, you have some time left for the day. Next thing on the list is:

>You are starting to make connections with potentially useful allies, maybe you should try to get a cheap phone to not be completely uncommunicated, you are pretty sure you saw a cheap one around the 5,000 mark. You can afford that or look for something even cheaper.
>Feed obtained, give some to Houndour and let’s go to the abandoned mines to search for steel types to melt.
>You’d like some extra cash, let’s wander around the market looking for ways to make a quick buck.
>Your body is still hurt and maimed, maybe you should stop by a pharmacy to get some painkillers and something to deal with the inflamed bruises.
>You are still pretty hurt from the beatdown, maybe it’s for the best to return home and try to get some early rest to speed up your recovery, or at least not worsen your condition. Since you got your ass beaten just yesterday the old man should lay off for a couple of days, at least that's how it usually goes.

Probably not a rotom phone, but does it come with the ability to use apps at that price? Keeping in contact with the idiots and having an on hand pokedex for even basic information would be useful. Or is it a garakei?

>Get a phone first

No time to waste, you need to get a head start on Houndour’s training if you want her to be up to snuff for whatever is thrown are you, she’s the ticket out of this shitty life after all. So, you decide to head straight up to the abandoned mines and melt some unfortunate mons to get your girl some fighting experience.
But, going unprepared to an abandoned mine filled with wild Pokémon could prove perilous. There are some stalls selling items to aid trainers in their travels. You decide to give them a glance before they close up shop. The things that caught your eye are as follows:

>Escape Rope: $1,000, a long durable rope that has been coated with a substance similar to a Pokémon Repel. It’s used to avoid getting lost when exploring caves and the like, Trainers usually attach one end to a place near the entrance to have a way to quickly follow the rope trail back and escape the place. The substance that coats it makes it so wild mon will ignore and avoid the rope, to keep it from being torn apart by them. While long, it has a limit, if you delve too deep into a cave you might need a second one. It can be used multiple times but it loses its repelling effect with time, so it’s advised to use it once.
>Poké Doll: $1,000: A curious doll resembling a Clefairy. It’s a one-use item that has a canister inside that is full of a spray that mimics the smell of various wild Pokémon. If you pull the pin on its back, it will release this overpowering concoction drawing attention to itself. Letting you escape an encounter with a wild Pokémon.
>Revival Herb: $2,800. A very bitter medicinal herb that helps Pokémon recover their consciousness after fainting and restores its help. Its flavor it’s so disgusting and overpowering that using it tends to lower the affinity a Pokémon has for its trainer.
> Repel $4,00 a canister that when sprayed will keep the wild mons at bay for a while. You can tell its effects wore off when you can no longer smell it around you.
> Heavy Duty Flashlight: $1,200 The mines are dark, there are no light sources inside. And since night is falling pretty soon, it might be prudent to bring one along. If you had a phone, maybe you could use it as a light source at the cost of its battery life.

They also sell Pokéballs, but they won’t give you any since you don’t have a Trainer License yet.
>>
>>5833807
Another thing that could prove useful is a phone. You’ve started making connections with people that might prove useful down the line, so having a way to keep in contact with them could be good for you. Right now, the cheapest phone you can find costs $4,500.

The guy running the stall at first tried to convince you to buy something more recent and costly, but after seeing your tattered clothes and malnourished state he stopped.

It’s not really a “smartphone”, much less a Rotom Phone. It doesn’t have a touchscreen but, it can connect to the internet, you can browse the net, has access to most direct messaging services, and has decent enough battery life. They have a promo right now if you take it, you can call and message up to 10 numbers free of charge for a year. That way, you don’t have to worry about paying for a plan or each call.

So, are you buying anything?

CASH ON HAND: $8,600
>Nah, we are good. Houndour can use her Ember to light up the way. Let’s roll.
>Yes:
Select Items.
>Escape Rope: $1,000

This entire depends upon how brave we actually are.
>Heavy Duty Flashlight: $1,200
We havent even fed Houndour yet. The special food will take time to work. Poor thing is bitterly malnourished.
>Repel: $4,00
Confusion. Is it $4 for a can or $400? If the former buy 20 of them. If the later just 2.
>Cheap Phone: $4,500
We gon need this sooner rather than later. Might as well get it while we have the money.

Also QM we had $8,600 at the foodmart stalls and spent $2500. How do we still have $8600?
>>
>>5833822
I bet it's 4000 for Repel anon
>>
>>5833826
>Repel costs as much as a cheap phone.
I REALLY doubt that since Escape Ropes covered with the stuff are just $1000.
>>
>>5833822
Also, we had 11000 at the markets and spent 2500 on the specialized feed.
>>
>>5833807

In that case, amend this to

>>5833808
>Yes
>Heavy Duty Flashlight: $1,200
>Cheap Phone: $4,500
>Repel: $400 (x1)
>Escape Rope: $1,000 (x1)
I'd rather not go too deep with a mon that can only barely fight. We can putz around on the first floor and get out once she's tired out. Repel/Flashlight are probably for tomorrow when we do a proper exploration, since I doubt we'll need to do anything crazy.
>>
Aight another question. If we are deploying the Escape Rope manually does that mean we are covered by its Repel? If so we dont need to buy Repel. If not we need two, one for the Ingress and one for the exit. We cant just stay covered in Repel the whole time, otherwise we get NO ENCOUNTERS, and waste our time and money.
>>
>>5833844
My thought process is using Repel as an emergency tool, in case a swarm or something starts heading our way. The Escape Rope's repel scent is probably just to stop Pokemon from attacking/dragging the rope, not for self protection.
>>
>>5833822
Sorry, my mistake, a REPEL is $400, also I've just realized I fucked up when doing the math of ANON's finances.
After doing the mafia job, he ended with 20,000.
He spent 3,400 buying Groceries, Regular Feed, Treats, 2 Burn Heals and 2 Potion (Just added those missing items to the Pastebin)
That left him with 16,600. Of those, he stashed away 8,000 and kept 8,600 at hand.
He got another 1,500 from Isaiah (Bullied kid) so he got, 10,100, but I fucked up and typed 11,000.
Then he bought the specialized feed for 2,500 so, he should be at 7,600. Not 8,600. But since it was my bad for not keeping a clear count of it:

>ANON found a lost 1,000 bill on the ground while shopping on the market.
>Current cash at hand: 8,600

>>5833844
No. The Escape Rope repel-like effect is less potent, it doesn't scare away mons nor envelop ANON like the spray would, it's more of a pungent odor/ taste that stops mons from gnawing at the rope or wanting to directly touch it. It's weaker than the repel but it lasts longer.

I mean its mostly fine. Im not angry or nothing. Im just keeping track of the stuff i buy, cuz yeah ive been where ANON is IRL. So money is ALWAYS something to keep track of. It might benefit you to make a Notepad or something to keep track of what ANON has.
>>
>>5833857
Just get the pokemon equivilant of a nokia. It'll break the onix before the onix breaks it.
>>
>>5833857
Bruh we a Nokia. The Onyx will die trying to crush it LMAO. Also its probably a flip phone, cases for those do not exist.

Can we maybe steal a pokeball?

To use Pokeballs you gotta either
A) Have a Trainer's LOISENCE (We dont)
or
B) Have an EBIN LEET HAXORZ! break the coding one it (Takes a long time and we don't know anyone that could do that for us.)
Stealing a pokeball or 7 at this point isn't a useful use of our time.

We're slowly and steady getting set with material.
Money, as always, is fleeting away.

We need the flashlight, if Houndour gets knocked out. We're dead in the water depending on the cave's natural lighting.

We aren't Percy & can't psychic friend our way out of the cave, nor do we have anyone's number on hand to call for help assuming there is reception in the cave.

Like most anon, I order my quest tabs by order of eagerness to check updates.
Right now, yours is on second (top is the one i'm running) and every day with an update becomes better.
So, can't wait for next update. And the one after that. And the next one.

OOC: Sorry for the lack of updates these last two days. Been busy with Uni stuff, that being said I'll have to put the quest on hold for a couple days more, got finals. I'll be back on Friday with a new thread. Around 8 pm MDT.

Flip between the two pictures on separate tabs, but I'll spoonfeed you: the visible eye didn't have an outline around it so it kinda looks like it blends into the white background. Also the forehead got a slight change and some more hair fringe was added above that eye.

Cute. Needs some ballistics though.

If it can un-shamble you, I wonder since you post the drawing what would the "glow-up" unchunnified version look like.

However, this will require us to know her more about her and her team.
>>

>more about her and her team
Yeah we only just met her once so far. Wonder if her team are as crazy as she is or they are just exasperated with her and following along.

You're with this guy, >>5838937 you just wanna see some massive chuuni boobs. Perfectly understandable

Alright anons, thread will be dropping soon, but Medi will launch next one tomorrow, which happen to be my birthday.
See you on the other side, can't wait to do more art for this quest based on inspiration, although >>5838280 is far better than me.
