Your name is Aeric. You are the 2nd son of Emperor Hesorich of the Holy Daufinian Empire.
The Empire (of humans) has dominated the world for centuries but has recently been challenged...
As the 2nd son, nobody expected you to amount to much, as your older brother, Prince Destoch, would succeed your father.

One day, tragic news reach your ears, your father and brother were killed in an ambush by the Wrothians. The Wrothians are human-eating wolfmen who regularly raid the northern border of the Empire.
Hoping to maintain the stability of the Empire, the crown officers proclaim you as the 50th Emperor. As you ascend the throne, you hear whispers bestowing you the nickname of "Aeric the Last Emperor".

The situation is indeed dire, and the nickname might prove accurate, can you save the Empire?
The Wrothians are invading from the north. Furthermore, other countries are seeking to exploit the Empire's misfortune, much like many minorities conquered by the Empire.
If that wasn't bad enough, there are rumors your uncle, Natich the Ex-emperor, is winning the favor of the seven peers of the realm, and is seeking to return from his exile.

As the emperor your first choice of action was to...

>A) Deal with the Wrothian Invasion
>B) Deal with the Seven Peers of the Realm
>C) Seek international recognition from other countries
>>
>>5862484
>A) Deal with the Wrothian Invasion'

Though this does leave us vulnerable to a coup, what legitimizes us the most is a victory. If we show results in the war I'm sure the Seven Peers will think twice about betraying us and other nations will recognize us much more readily
>>
>>5862484
>A) Deal with the Wrothian Invasion
First we should deal with the enemy at the gate.
>>
>>5862484

>A) Deal with the Wrothian Invasion

Obviously we need to excel here and proclaim ourselves something even cooler than Emperor, so the “last Emperor” thing becomes true.

Or maybe we can transition our country to a monarchy and become a High King or something
>>
>>5862493
>>5862494

"Very well, my emperor. But how should we deal with those pests? We estimate their strength to amount to that of ten legions, and only two legions survived the massacre where your father perished."
"The Peers have legions of their own, but lending them would require negotiation. We could also raise taxes and fund additional legions, but then again, it might cause a popular uprising."
"Don't get me wrong, fighting them with one to five is an option, but unlikely to succeed. So if you choose to fight them, we might want to secure additional muscle."
"Besides military action, there are alternative options..."
"We could, for example, open peace negotiations... They would likely demand concessions, and giving in to such demands might make you look weak."
"There is always the option of war of attrition. If he withdraws supplies and lets them advance far enough, they might run out of food and be forced to withdraw."
"Then again, they do consume humans, so a lack of food might not work, and thousands might be eaten."

What do you decide
>a) Seek military confrontation
>b) Open peace negotiations
>c) War of attrition

>>5862496
Technically empire is already a monarch, at least in this context, and a high king would be a demotion.

Empire in this context is a god-emperor/universal monarch. Monarch who claims sovereignty over everything else.

Holy Daunifian Empire in particular has such claim, because:
>there were 4 gods (whom all 25 races are descendants of)
>3 of the gods ended up slaying each other
>The remaining god was the ancestor of Wrothians and Daunifians (humans)
>But the surviving god tired of life and committed suicide
>Daunifians consider themself successors to that god because he used to reign from Chaelia (which is a county of the Daunifian Empire)
>>
>>5862574
>a) Seek military confrontation
>>
>>5862574

>a) Seek military confrontation

No mercy for the wolfmen, let’s go to the Peers for military support. Maybe we can try to prevent our uncle from returning in the process
>>
>>5862574
>a) Seek military confrontation
>>
>>5862600
>>5862664
You choose to seek to meet them battle and use Peers for military support.
To secure legions of the Peers, you to travel to meet them. You can continue recruiting them until you happy with the number of legions, but a week (turn), there 33% (roll d12 < 5) chance Wrothians advance.
Different lords have different numbers of legions and different loyalties. Generally. lords with fewer legions see it as an opportunity to prove their loyalty, while lords with many legions are more likely to ask something from you.

Capital is adjacent to three fiefs:
>Duchy of Nitaberia, whose duke has 5 legions
>County of South Tholatia, whose count has 2 legions
>County Chaelia, whose count has 3 legions
>>
>>5862693
>Duchy of Nitaberia, whose duke has 5 legions

Let's just go with the guy with the most legions first, we'll have to give something up but once we have under our thumb the rest will fall in line easier.
>>
>>5862693
>County of South Tholatia, whose count has 2 legions

>>5862701
If your game plan is to go with 7 legions, it's fine, but if you're trying to go with more than 2, going for the counties will be better since we don't have to give up as much.
>>
>>5862754
They have 10 legions, I figured we need to atleast match that to be really safe. We only have 2 right now, and going in with half or less is a bad idea.
>>

3 votes for Nitaberia and 1 for South Tholatia, so Nibaeria passes.

You arrive in Nitaberia's capital, the city of Phermo, situated at the confluence of the Nitabe River

The old Duke of Nitaberia presents himself to you in a lavish fashion.
"Oh my, the boy-emperor has decided to humor me with his presence. Am I not lucky?"
"With no doubt, you have come to beg for my aid, against your pitiful war against those pests."
"I'm not that concerned myself, after all, Phermo has never fallen to the invaders, since the founding of your Empire."
"I suppose I could aid you, if the price is right...."
"You know what your uncle has offered me?
"He has offered to recognize me as the independent king of Nitaberia, what can you possibly offer that's better?"
>>
>>5863055
Two questions for the qm: 1. do we have any living family? Mom, stepmom, brother, sister, half siblings, bastard siblings etc? 2. does the duke have any sons or daughters?
>>
>>5863055

>"He has offered to recognize me as the independent king of Nitaberia, what can you possibly offer that's better?"

"Help me with the Wrothians and not only will I guarantee your independent kingship, but I will also support you in your annexation of Bohosta Island."

Of course, we can later betray this old bastard.
>>
>>5863055
Just kill him right here and now for his disrespect and implied treason, we take the legions for our own.
>>
>>5863055
"My uncle offers a pittance to secure his own betrayal. A member of your family will marry me and they in turn will provide you a heir to the throne. Imagine, your family, as Emperor............."
>>
>>5863222

This would be a good idea except we only have 2 legions and the Nitaberians have 5. So we’d probably just start a civil war immediately.

Better to get his help now and then betray later
>>
>>5863061
>do we have any living family? Mom, stepmom, brother, sister, half siblings, bastard siblings etc?
You have
— 15 year old unwed sister, Tostilda
— 13 year old unwed sister, Leyilda
— 5 year old unwed half-brother, Pueric

Your mother, Late Queen Lugnilda, died giving birth to Leyilda. Your mother came from Phugmark, making the current marques of Phugmark your uncle.
Later your father married, Knyilda of South Tholatia, your stepmother.

Queen Knyilda doesn't like you, but you shouldn't be afraid of her or your half-brother, as they are rather unpopular and not legitimate contenders for the throne, at least not as long as you are alive.
The fact Knyilda has fled the capital with Pueric and taken shelter in her father's county of South Tholatia, might be alarming.

You are unmarried and have no children, but your late brother, Prince Destoch, was supposed to marry the sister of Count of Chealia, and in the traditional custom of lateral marriage you are expected to take your brother's place.

>does the duke have any sons or daughters?
The duke has three adult sons, but two are married, the youngest one is still unwed.

>>5863062
You should know that the Lordship of Bohosta Island isn't traditionally considered one of the Seven Peers, but has traditionally been part of Phugmark. Only recently, it began acting independently of Phugmark, essentially becoming the 8th Peer de facto, though your father refused to grant them the title of a count. Both Phugmark and Nitaberia claim supremacy over the island, so supporting one will upset the other.
>>
>>5863283

Well, I don’t mind pissing off Phugmark and our stepmom in the process, tbqh.

Would still offer the Duke the island of Bohosta in return for military support
>>
>>5863239
>me
*mine
>>
>>5863336
Phugmark is the country of our other Uncle, mothers brother. Should head there last once we have collected enough legions.
>>5862693
Once we have secured the legions for Nitaberia, Chaelia should provide us 3 legions if agree, at least for now, to take Destochs place in marriage. The count would love for his sister to be the next Empress.
We should avoid South Tholatia as they won't part with their legions easily and they only have 2. They can be dealt later if they plan anything.
>>
While you are still debating what to do... I thought I'd share some lore about the empire's demographic.

While the empire is run by the Daunifians (humans), it rules over many different people.

>Aharians (rabbit people)
>Bohostans (horse folk)
>Tholatish (fox folk)
>Phucebish (man-bats)
>Vatchens (beaver men)

Demographics are like this:
West Aharia
>95% Aharians
>5% Daunifians

Phugmark
>60% Bohostans
>30% Aharians
>10% Daunifians
Phugmark used to be East Aharia, until it was invaded by Bohostans, forcing its people flee. "Phug" itself is Aharian word for Bohostans.

Bohosta Island
>95% Bohostans
>5% Daunifians
Bohosta is named the demigodess Bohosta was exiled there by her brothers and created the race of Bohostans.

Nitaberia
>70% Daunufians
>20% Bohostans
>10% Aharians
Nitaberia used battled ground between Bohostans and Daunifians before the Empire conquered Bohostans

Daunifia proper
>90% Daunifians
>10% various minorities

South Tholatia
>60% Tholatish
>20% Phucebish
>10% Daunifians
South Tholatia used to be part of Tholatian Patrimony until its conquest, still many Tholatish want it to return, and the Patrimony has not completely accepted the annexation

Chaelia
>98% Daunifians
>2% various minorities
Chaelia is considered a holy land its administrator feels strong hatred towards non-Daunifians, so they have banished most non-humans.

Phucebia
>60% Daunifians
>40% Phucebish

Vatchia
>80% Vatchens
>10% Phucebians
>10% Daunifians

Out of the minorities, Vatchians are the most loyal and best treated, next to the Aharians.

Tholatish, Bohostans, and Phucebish are most likely to rebel.

Also, Bohostans and Aharians hate each other, and because Phugmark has plenty of both skirmishes between the two are common.
>>
>>5863055
>My Uncle holds no power but promises, he has no troops, less legitimacy, and will inevitably be overthrown in a coup by the other peers as the promises he makes to get the throne will tear apart the empire. If you declare yourself an independent king you will have to fight tooth and nail for years against whichever traitor survives the chaos after and claims the throne after. Destroying you and retaking empire land would be the first thing they do to solidify themselves. My Uncle may make promises, but that's all he's good for. I offer you something lesser, yes, but it is something that can actually be given.

>Offer the annexation of Bohosta Island under his domain.

Our uncles just a cuck who wants the throne he doesn't actually have the power to do shit currently, grigga is just bluffing
>>
"Interesting offer... But how can you promise something you hold control? The Lord of Bohosta takes no orders from anyone. So, you would have to go there yourself and subdue him to me."
"I would provide two of my legions, doubling your numbers. "
"If you can subdue Bohosta, I will provide you with my remaining three legions."
"Also, my son, 2nd son, Epohich, would accompany you."
"How does that sound?"
>>
>>5863940
>Us even supporting you helps legitimize your claim to Bohosta over your rivals in Phugmark, our support in taking it afterwards should be enough to secure your help. To take direct military action against Bohosta, I would need 2-3 legions to be stationed along the border with the Wrothians. I can't go and start a conflict with one my vassals without atleast some assurance the Wrothain border won't collapse. I swear on my family's name that you will have Bohosta and my full support after the Wrothian problem, but if you insist that that's not enough and you need actions now, then I need part of your legions on the border now.

Not committed on this but let's see what says, half of ruling is negotation.
>>
>>5863972

Supporting, we have to deal with the wolf men conclusively BEFORE we help him with Bohosta.

Anyways once we’re done with the wolves, we can arrest him for sedition against the realm and have him executed or something.
>>
>>5864099

Oh and obviously we’ll claim the Nitaberian province as our own as a “temporary regent” until we can consolidate power

>>
>>5864473
>c) South Tholatia

Wait, Phugmark didn’t fall right? So we don’t really need to go there, and it’s kind of pointless to go there since they’re enemies with nibertia and we just allied with them so it’s going to be hard to get troops. Let’s go to South Tholatia and another small area and use our newfound support to get their troops for basically free and then fight the wolf men
>>
>>5864473
>back to capital
>>
Divise, but Phugmark passes, and yes it hasn't fallen.

As you and your 7 legion travel from Nitaberia to Phugmark, encounter 4 legions... These legions are made of Bohostans (horsemen), the natives of Phugmark, Bohosta and Nitaberia.
It must be a revolt, because Bohostans are not allowed to hold weapons alone join the army.

a) You attack them
b) Seek negotiations
c) Return to Nitaberia

Phewwww.
>>
They are open to talk.

The leader of the Bohostans approaches you.

"I'm Yasvosh, and by the right of my ancestors, the prince of All Bohostans. Forgive me for not kneeling to you, for I consider myself equal to you."
"My great-grandfather was the final prince of the previous Bohostan Principality, hence I can relate to how you, Aeric the Last Emperor, are feeling now."
"I knew this decadent empire that oppresses its people would eventually decline, thus, funded by Wrothians I have been training a liberation army."
"We were on our way to sack Phermo, the capital of Nitaberia, but dealing with your must suffice."
"Here are our demands, you recognize me as an independent prince of the Bohostans, cede West Aharia, Phugmark, and Bohosta Island to me."
"In exchange, my four legions will aid you in your fight against the Wrothians, and the Principality will pay you an annual tribute of 20% of our income."
"Does that not sound great?"
>>
>>5865562
Deal.
>>
>>5865562

Sure, whatever he says.

Basically we should betray the horsemen during the battle and make sure this guy is killed in the process.
>>
>>5865562
Why would we agree to this? We outnumber him now 7-4 now that we have nibertia’s legions. We lose 4 provinces to this guy for only 20% of their income and 4 legions. We might as well cut our head off right now with how the other nobles would react to us instantly bowing to this minor show of force.

>Tell him to go fuck himself.

This is a perfect chance to legitimize ourselves against a LESSER FORCE and gain the support of the minor nobles likes South Tholatia then march against the Wrothians
>>
>>5865634

In fairness, I am agreeing to the deal but absolutely am not going to follow through with it, we should betray the horse man at the first opportunity
>>
>>5865643
It doesn't matter whether we betray him or not, just agreeing to his terms fucks us. The other nobles won't sit idle while we divide up the empire piece by piece to whatever random force we encounter. It doesn't matter if we betray him later the optics are absolutely terrible and show weakness.

Also wasn't the entire reason we decided to on a military campaigns as the Wrothians first to gain legitimacy and therefore support through a military victory. I see this an easier way to get it than fighting the 10 legions strong Wrothains.
>>
>>5865649

I don’t disagree with you, can we not just make our deal with the Bohostan prince a secret until the Wrothian campaign is over? “We’ll announce your sovereignty later, first help me beat the wolfmen” doesn’t sound crazy to me.

A secret pact partially solves the PR problem that you’ve laid out. If the prince refuses, we can just murder now as you suggested.
>>
>>5865711
How secret could this pact possibly be, though? Our troops our watching us negotiate with a prince in open rebellion, and then afterward he's fighting alongside us? It'd be pretty clear we atleast gave Bohosta independence if we got/let them fight with us when them even owning a weapon is an act of treason.

I think you vastly overestimate the secret keeping capabilities of 11 legions, and underestimate how important keeping pacts are. If we tell this guy we're letting Bohosta be independent while literally marching with the king of Nibertia's troops who we just promised Bohosta it's bound to cause a massive shit-fest. They're going to know one of them is getting betrayed lmao, because the promises are completely opposite of each other.

Going through with this would pretty much single-handedly end our reign lmao.
>>
>>5865711
Also who's to say this guy just doesn't betray us lmao. It'd be so easy, he already has a relationship with the Wrothians, he was literally funded by them.
>>
>>5865562
>"That does NOT sound great. By your own admission, you commit treason and plan the attack on an Imperial province. You plot with Wrothia, and would likely join with them against us if we were to march to battle together."

>"Lay down your arms and surrender, and we may not break your treasonous hides where you stand."

You decide not to make a deal with Yasvosh.

"My emperor, you have made a grave mistake."

You are barely able to withdraw behind your legion as the Bohostans attack your legions.

After hours of battle, the Bohostans are wiped out, but you lose 3 of your 7 legions.

After the smoke clears, you witness Yasvosh crawling away. He turns to you...

"I can see I asked too much, how about you just give me Bohosta Island? You think I'm weak now

We're down to four legions. At least by sparing him, we gain reinforcements in four weeks.

More votes for kill.

You execute Prince Yasvosh unceremoniously and continue marching towards Phugmark.

As you reach the capital of Phugmark, City of Vuatho, your uncle, the Marques of Phugmark greets you.

"Oh, nephew, what a wonderful sight."
"The situation is most dire, those pesk Wrothians are everywhere."
"I tried to prevent them from advancing, I raised additional legions, and now I'm down to just one..."
"Besides the coast all of Phugmark has been overrun."
"I predict, they assault Vuatho within the next few days."
"I requested aid from West Aharia, but they refused, seems like they might have made some sort of deal with the Wrothians."
"I was preparing to withdraw with my fleet, and set Vuatho a flame, so Wrothians could not use it as a stronghold."
"What do you say? Should we burn and fleet, or fight outnumbered?"
>>
>>5868243
Yeah let's do that. Time for some scorched earth tactics.
>>
>>5868243

The wrothians don’t have the 3 to 1 advantage that besiegers typically need to crack a city or fortress, I say we stand , fortify and fight.
>>
>>5868243

>>Send a messenger to West Aharia containing the severed head of the dead prince asking for reinforcements, and messages to all the provinces notifying them of the "princes death and the annexation of Bohosta by our friends and supporters in Nibertia. Let them know traitors will be dealt with, and supporters will be generously rewarded.

Hopefully announcing our victory will make some of the more opportunistic vassal reconsider throwing us to the wolves (literally). Even if we're still weaker than the Wrothians I'm sure they would rather support us than literal man-eating barbarians if they think we have a decent chance.
>>
>>5868256

Will support your diplomacy efforts as well.

Also, what is our uncle up to? No doubt he doesn’t want to be eaten either, now would be a good time for him to show up and save the empire
>>
>>5868140
Then let's try to get that
>>
You choose to defend the city of Vuaho...

The Wrothians army arrived a few days later, instead of trying to assault the city, they constructed trebuchets.
After they were constructed you were shocked to discover that the Wrothians did not intend to use them to sling rocks, but corpses infected with typhus.
As the infected bodies were hurtled into Vuatho
Within a week a typhus epidemic broke out. While you were fortunate enough not to catch the disease, your uncle alongside 2 of your legions and 80% of residents of the city perishes with it.

No word from West Aharia, but even if they show up, you would still be outnumbered...
You still have the ships to flee...

What will you do?

Yeah, that would be fun too.
>>
You choose to wait out.

During one dark night, you wake up to the sound of a sword slashing.
Wrothians were able to breach the walls under the cover of darkness and pour into the city like cats.
Seems like everything is lost, but you refuse to give up.
Regardless, your retainers drag you into a boat against your will yelling:
>"The Empire needs its emperor"
They tie you to the mast of a ship and set sail away from the doomed city.
As you sail away, you are forced to witness how the Wrothians eat your remaining legions.
You could not destroy Vuatho, and have lost all your legions. All Phugmark has now fallen under Wrothians, but their conquest might not be over.

Where will you head next or will you take your life in shame?
>>
>>5870296

That’s pretty bullshit, OP, was it even possible for us to win?
>>
>>5870300
Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?

>>5870296
Excellent. Go back home.
>>
>>5870300
I mean, you went to an unfavorable position and doubled down there. If everything turned out fine, what stakes would anything have?
I guess I could have added more randomness, but I have tried to minimize it.

>>5870340
You sail back to Bistra, you immediately learn that your uncle has landed in Phucebia, and received the support of Grand Duke of Phucebia and Marques of Vatchia.
The word is that your uncle has amassed 10 legions.

The Count of Chaelia assures you he will fight and die for you, if you marry his sister. But you must reach Cethend before your uncle occupied it.

There is no word about what your stepmother is plotting in South Tholatia with your young half-brother.

Duke of Nitaberia is extremely angry you got all his legions killed, and says he has no way to support either of you, though you believe he is lying. Regardless West Aharia and Nitaberia are likely next the target of the Wrothians.

Your uncle has also sent a message to you:
>"Dear nephew, despite my hatred towards your father and late brother, I have always been fond of you. There is no need for us to fight, I merely want what your father deprived from me, the throne. Then again, we can only learn from our past mistakes, so I ask you not to abdicate, but become my co-ruler, of course, I would be a senior ruler and you the junior emperor. Together, we can restore the glory to the Empire!"
>>
>>5870878
I thought Vatchia was supposed to be the most loyal?
>>
>>5870878

No offense, but I’m dropping this quest as well. You provide trap options to the players, refuse to provide necessary context for us to make better decisions and understand the MC’s situation, and show no interest in sharing control of the story with the players. It’s clear that you want us to read your mind and you will punish us without warning and without any logic if we guess wrong.

Good luck QM
>>
>>5870910
I said Vatchians were most loyal.
I did explain it poorly, but all fiefs in the Empire are ruled by humans.
But Vatchians are beaver people who were conquered by the Empire. While Vatchians themself are loyal to the empire (unlike Bohostans), I never said anything about the ruling Marques of Vatchia, who is a human.

>>5870932
No issue, thank you for playing this long.

>show no interest in sharing control of the story with the players
Though all your decisions have been based on your votes.
>>
>>5870945
You didn't provide polls for important actions.
>The Wrothians army arrived a few days later, instead of trying to assault the city, they constructed trebuchets.
>After they were constructed you were shocked to discover that the Wrothians did not intend to use them to sling rocks, but corpses infected with typhus.
Here, you should have had a poll. "The wrothians are throwing infected corpses, what do you do?"
Instead, you skipped to 1 week later and everyone dead.

You also ignored player choices and went with your plans.
>We'll entrench ourselves. If we should fail, better our dynasty be known to fight to the last.
>Entrench ourselves. Throw OUR typhus infected corpses to the Wrothians to give them typhus too. Use our 2 legions to fight to the last man, causing as many Wrothian deaths as we can. Then retreat on ship to Bistra.
You ignored the votes, spawned random random retainers to do what you wanted: "Regardless, your retainers drag you into a boat against your will".
This is textbook railroading. If players can't make their own choices without random retainers spawning to do what the QM wants, there's no point in playing.
>>
>>5870994
Look at this these votes:

>>5869186
>>5869260
That's two for entrenching, throwing corpses back was part of the other vote, but was not supported by anybody else, which is why I did not implement it.

But if it matters that much, we can revert to the point.
>>
>>5870945
>I never said anything about the ruling Marques of Vatchia, who is a human.
That's on you, not the players. It's the QM's job to provide information relevant to the choices, players can't read your mind.
>>
>>5871004
>That's two for entrenching, throwing corpses back was part of the other vote, but was not supported by anybody else, which is why I did not implement it.
There were just three votes.
>>5869186 (entrench)
>>5869260 (entrench + throw corpse + fight to the last man)
>>5869317 (set port on fire)
You somehow ignored all of them and went with "everyone died, your retainers tie you up and take you home".
>>
>>5871008
The few pieces of information we are given also changes whenever QM feels like it.
>Wrothians are human-eating wolfmen
>how should we deal with those pests?
Wrothians are initially described as pests, cannibals.
>"I knew this decadent empire that oppresses its people would eventually decline, thus, funded by Wrothians I have been training a liberation army."
>"I requested aid from West Aharia, but they refused, seems like they might have made some sort of deal with the Wrothians."
Then suddenly they are political masterminds secretly funding rebellions and making deals.
>Also, Bohostans and Aharians hate each other, and because Phugmark has plenty of both skirmishes between the two are common.
Bohostans and Aharians are enemies then they are both working for cannibals that want to eat them.
>Out of the minorities, Vatchians are the most loyal and best treated, next to the Aharians.
Our most loyal subjects randomly betrayed us to our uncle and our second most loyal subjects betrayed us to cannibals that want to eat them?
>The Wrothians army arrived a few days later, instead of trying to assault the city, they constructed trebuchets. After they were constructed you were shocked to discover that the Wrothians did not intend to use them to sling rocks, but corpses infected with typhus.
>During one dark night, you wake up to the sound of a sword slashing. Wrothians were able to breach the walls under the cover of darkness and pour into the city like cats.
Wrothians are not just political geniuses, they are also siege experts, biological warfare specialists and undetectable ninjas. How were we supposed to win?
>>
>>5871088
Also we could only recruit from Nitaberia, South Tholatia and Chaelia.
>>5862693
>Duchy of Nitaberia, whose duke has 5 legions
>County of South Tholatia, whose count has 2 legions
>County Chaelia, whose count has 3 legions
Meanwhile our uncle was recruiting offscreen from Phucebia and Vatchia.
>>5869663
>Phucebia 10
>Vatchia 6
Even if we married the count's sister, seduced the stepmother and successfully diplomanced the duke, we would still lose to uncle.

Quit your fucking bitching, dumbass retarded faggots. There was no way we were going to win against a superior numbered army during a siege because, guess what?, they'll just outlast us. Oh, you wanted West Aharia to help? Did you not remember or fucking bother to read what OP wrote in his updates?
>>5868243
>"I requested aid from West Aharia, but they refused, seems like they might have made some sort of deal with the Wrothians."
>"I was preparing to withdraw with my fleet, and set Vuatho a flame, so Wrothians could not use it as a stronghold."

So
1. We were told West Aharia was previously asked for help, but they denied
2. The situation is so grim that your uncle has already prepared everyone to leave and burn the place to the ground.
It's your own fucking fault for continuing on instead of exercising the oldest of traditions, running the fuck away from a fight you can't win.

You whiny piece of shit. Of course your retainers don't want you to die, because they're your fucking retainers, retard! They understand that the Empire and Emperor are more important than their own lives, because that's what they are there for.

How knows what kind of deal the Wrothians are giving or they're doing in the background? So much for "loyalty", when our uncle in exile is promising kingship and a kingdom, our step-mother took our brother, West Aharia didn't help, and the Bohostains were revolting. It's called self-interest.

Fucking play the game right or don't play at all.

>>5870878
Marry his sister and reach Cethend with all due haste. Deny your uncle.
>>
>>5871008
I could have been clearer, but I feel like I gave enough lore to figure it out. Why would you presume Vatchians are allowed to govern themself when I described Vatchians as a conquered minority?

>>5871013
But you did entrench, it's just that it had the outcome of enemies penetrating the city during the night. Granted, might have been fairer to roll for it.

>>5871088
Uh, I do like these discussions about creative differences unironically.

The OP describes them wolfmen, that's initially, describing them as pests, is just some in-universe slur your counselors call them.

>Then suddenly they are political masterminds secretly funding rebellions and making deals.
I don't see the issue? You were given the option to talk to them in the very beginning, indicating they could be reasoned with and not mindless monsters.
Fact, they consume humans doesn't make them any less intelligent, why would it?

>Bohostans and Aharians are enemies then they are both working for cannibals that want to eat them.
Technically Wrothians are not cannibals, because they eat humans, and are not themself humans. Neither Bohostans and Aharians are humans, and I never said they eat them.
Though West Aharia is governed by humans, but against I don't see why, they couldn't treat West Aharia like an Indian reservation.

>Our most loyal subjects randomly betrayed us to our uncle and our second most loyal subjects betrayed us to cannibals that want to eat them?
Explained it above, but the same thing with West Aharia.
Vatchia is governed by a human marques, not a Vatchian. So, while Vatchian (beaver men) did not revolt against the empire, the humans in charge did.

>How were we supposed to win?

Well, at that point your odds were awful. You were already outnumbered and your (other) uncle was preparing to flee the city.
If you had made a deal with Yasvosh you would have had 11 legions when you arrived in Vuatho, + your uncle's legion, against 10 Wrothians legions.

So, your options would have either to make the deal with Yasvosh or burn the city before the disease outbreak, retreat, recruit more legions, and return.
That's honestly how I designed it.

>undetectable ninjas
You would be surprised how many cities fell to random shit like an insider guiding the enemy through the sally port, someone discovering an abandoned tunnel, the random gate being left open.
>>
>>5871112
>There was no way we were going to win against a superior numbered army during a siege because, guess what?, they'll just outlast us.

You choose to advance to Cethend. Where you marry the Count's sister, Lady Aguilda.

The new empress realizes the unstable situation for the Empire, and offers to travel to Nitaberia, Acharia, or Bistrate to mediate the situation. Though last two might be more dangerous than others.

You are also surprised to discover that one of the wedding guests is a minotaur, an Azincin from the Despotate of Azincia, a powerful southern country known for their honor.

The minotaur introduces himself as Prince Alevos 2nd, son of the Despot ot Azincia.

"It's no accident I'm here now. Though had you not married Lady Aguilda would have no business with you. You see, I realize the predicament and relate to your position. I have no inheritance of my own, but I have carved wealth of my own, and I have 10 legions. Make me a lord of the realm, by giving me the third of the Daunifia proper, I will build a minotaur colony there, and give your sister to me, and I and my legions will die for you."

While you are considering your options, you are informed that your uncle has begun marching towards Cethend.

Well well well, let's do an epic move here -

We accept his offer and ask him to let us use those minotaur legions to obliterate our uncle and if possible the bloody wrothians too, as he has promised to die for us, we will make it so that almost all his legions perish or are reduced to a feeble number, and then we just organize a festival or something in the capital where we are about to give our beloved sister but instead we kill this fella, and secretely annihilate his army too.

>Tldr : Use Minotaur-Defeat Uncle and Wrothians-Betray Minotaur.

Can that happen ?
>>
>>5874247
It might be difficult, but you can try... Also you did not give your wife guidance.

You agree to make a deal with Alevos. With his 10 you meet your uncle's 10 legions near a river.
Your uncle parleys with you before the battle.
"Oh, nephew. How have you sold your soul to the lowly Azincins. I'm no fool, meeting you in battle when we both have the same strength, it would be a pyrrhic victory. Thus I propose we divide the empire, you can take the west and I keep east. If you do not agree I'm just going to retreat Dufai, where I will raise additional legions and you will lose, meanwhile the Wrothians will advance to Bistra, and both of us will lose."

Or defeat the Wrothians and make them fight against him.

Let the fucker run, meanwhile try putting a spy in his army, can that happen ?
>>
>>5876559
You choose to let your uncle escape with his army, with a spy.

You hear back from your wife in Aharia, apparently the Marques of Aharia has explained their actions.
The reason why they are working with Wrothiians is because they are biding their time.
The High King of Wrothians is on his deathbed, which is the reason why they are colliding with the Wrothians.
When the High King dies, there is going to be a civil war between the tribes, hence why the Wrothian generals are so eager to attack the empire, they hope to secure glory and booty to aid them during the civil war.
If you make peace with Wrothians now, you will be giving everything to them that they want, but if you hold on, the fortune will turn, and Phugmark might get reclaimed.
That being said, Wrothians are besiegeing Phermo.
What will you do? Do you follow your uncle to the east, or use your march to the north?
You ask for more legions from Prince Alevos, but he says he has given you everything.
>>
>>5878047
March north. Hopefully our uncle will be satisfied with the east for the time being.
>>
>>5878047
Uncle got a spy, so I guess we will be informed of whatever shit he's cookin up there in the east.

Now I would request QM to provide us the general details of the options left to us alongwith an updated map.

Also is there some nation which may help us without costing a fortune ?
>>
>>5878090
>>5878581
March to lift the siege of Phermo with your ten legions to match against 10 Wrothian legions.
But as they see evenly matching army the Wrothians retreat to Phugmark.

At the same time, you hear your uncle has been able to bring his numbers to 15 and has taken South Tholatia, with your stepmother and half-brother fleeing to Bistra. Thar Count of South Tholatia joins in in Nitaberia with 5 legions.

However, now you are facing a dilemma, your uncle threatens to take capital, Bistra, while if you leave Nitaberia, the Wrothians are likely to return and sack Phermo.

I again request to provide the general info about the options left to us and an updated map please.

Also are there any legions in Akhraria ?

Anyways, My call is we should try dealing with the Wrothians first, let's bear the shame of losing the capital, maybe it'll cause uncle to have some over-confidence and he'll probably make a mistake, let's deal with the Wrothians, finish them for once and for all.
>>
>>5882084
you have your wife in West Aharia
the minotaur guy and his legions,
and you can raise 5 legions by increasing taxes but it might incur a revolt based on roll (33% chance)

>>
>>5882978
Here's what we should do, Let's obliterate those bastard Wrothians, by using Akhraria's legions and the minotaur ones, let uncle make his move on Bistra we'll come to that later.

Also what if instead of South Tholatia we peomise them Wrothian land ?, Will they agree on a joint campaign ?
>>
>>5882978
No problem bro, life's busy sometimes.
Glad you haven't abandoned the quest.
>>
So, I think the consensus is to push against Wrothians.

You march against Wrothians with 10 of minotaur legions, assisted by 5 legions from Aharia
Seeing themself outnumbered, the Wrothians flee Phugmar, without giving a fight. As you revisit Vuatho you discover the Wrothians destroyed the city before they left.

Marques of West Aharia informs you that they will come back, and you should risk everything penetrate deep into their territory
However, the Count of South Tholatia, warns you that Wrothians are known for their forest ambushes.

You also learn that your uncle has taken Bistra, and is preparing a coronation for himself. Meanwhile, Chaelia and NItaberia remain loyal.

Wrothians refuse to negotiate, as they believe they can win this.
>>
>>5885224
"How do you stop a plague from spreading?
You burn down the village."

Smoke out the the Wrothians by burning down the forest.
>>
>>5885224
Start burning their forests and then pretend to leave for Bistra, while you set up an ambush for the Wrothians, we have all the fifteen legions intact, let's make them take the bait.

Let's end those fuckers for once and all.
>>
>>5885235

The chieftain refuses unconditional surrender.

Meanwhile, your uncle finished his coronation and is marching towards Phemro with an army of 30 legions.

With help of West Aharia and Minotaurs you have roughly 20 legions.

Patrimon of Tholatia offers to send you additional 5 legions if promise to return South Tholatia to them.

If you continue campaigning against Wrothians, you are sure to defeat them, but your uncle will take Phermo and all of Nitaberia.

Optionally you could just annex what you have occupied as the "Province of South Wrothia" and leave 2 legions to guard it.

It's also worth noting that the Lord of Bohosta Island has not sent you any legions to you, he has 3. He is pissed off that you promised his island to Duke of Nitaberia, but for some reason still hasn't shifted his allegiance to your uncle.
>>
>>5888867
Deal.

A lot of routes we could go. We could have the Wrothians join us against our uncle, but that may just legitimize his own claims, that we "sunk so low as to join hands with our sworn enemies"

23 to 30 are bad odds, if we just leave the front, annex, and turn war towards our uncle.

Shit, two front wars are such a pain.

He didn't know what sort of guarantees we would give and now he never will. Continue to spread the holy fire against Wrothian.

Try to have our spy spread word around camp that while our uncle is trying to shore up support against the right King(us), we are taking the fight to the heart of the Wrothians, something he could never do.

Hopefully the populace revolts or at least some legions abandon him.

Send a royal diplomat to Gethalian Confederation asking for support against the Wrothish and our uncle.
>>
>>5888867
I say let's end those fucking Wrothians, subdue them, and make them pay tribute and they are not allowed to keep any army.

>>5889058
Support for this one.
Also let's make a deal with Tholatian Patrimon, that we will give him the Wrothians territory as giving him Tholatia means we get a very narrow corridor to pass through our Empire's North-east and South sides.

And tell us the whereabouts of our family did they got out ?
>>
>>5889791
>And tell us the whereabouts of our family did they got out ?
Your stepmother and half-brother fled from the capital towards you, but got shipwrecked to the south and taken captive by the minotaur despotate of Azincia, who demanded a ransom for their return, otherwise, they would remain their prisoner.

You decided march against Wrothians nad make a deal with Tholatians increasing your legion strength to 25.
As you march deeper into Wrothians territory, the Wrothians lose hope and surrender unconditionally.
Meanwhile, your uncle takes Nitaberia and prepares to march toward Phugmark

What do you do with Wrothians?
If you demand them organize 5 legions to your service, they will be pissed off and likely revolt very soon.
>>
>>5891488
Pay the ransom.

"Noble Wrothians, this war has nearly destroyed both our people, however, I come offering three choices.

1. You join hands and become one with the Holy Daunifian Empire. You shall be subjects of our glorious rule and fulfill the expectations and responsibilities thereof, starting with five legions.

2. I slaughter you all down to the last blade of grass. None will remember you and your name shall be washed away from the flow of time.

There is still a third choice. You shall become a vassal of the Holy Daunifian Empire, to assist and fight for our cause whenever called upon, starting now with five legions. In return, you and your people shall be renamed Guardians of the Northern Forests, with autonomy to do as you please within your new, redrawn lands.

Whichever you choose, the Chieftain, his advisors, and generals will be put to death for my King, my father, and my Prince, my brother. Worry not, for your children shall inherit your titles, roles, and not be touched. With this blood paid, the war will conclude without further bloodshed. I pray you choose wisely"

I really hope these fuckers choose three. It gives them face and gives us five legions. If they do, give them half their lands with no access to the sea.

Send a new royal diplomat to Gethalian Confederation announcing our victory against the Wrothians and asking for support against our uncle.

Send criers across the Holy Daunifian Empire that we have won against the Wrothian tribes.

Try to have our spy spread word around our uncle's camp that while our uncle was trying to go against the rightful King(us), we have won against the Wrothians, something he decided not to do, and we are now trying to save the former Queen/our half-brother. Also spread a rumor that the King will punish all those who joined our uncle against us.

Hopefully the populace revolts against our uncle or at least some of his legions abandon him.

Vuatho has been desecrated and will not give our uncle, nor his troops, the rest they so desire. It will be best to sally against them once they reach the city, but before they reach Shoka.

We executed Prince Yasvosh of Bohosta Island. Is the Lord of Bohosta Island not mad about this? Is the Duchy of Nitaberia still alive? I support fully,

Also raise legions now, organise villagers or any one you find, tell them the vile crimes and horrors your uncle commits, these rural folk in our Empire's hinterlands will surely get along once they hear occult shit and black-wizardry.

Let's fuck Uncle but avoid sieges at all costs, we don't have resources I believe, also this time met thise minotaurs do the work, reduce their number, then divide them, make a somewhat foolish and greedy but strong minotaur your own man, promise him the whole of the minotaur kingdom and make him carve out a faction in the army which will eventually betray the king, but you will spread the word that he died fighting and named this(your man) the successor.

I don't want to marry my sister to some monstrous brute, just get done with it.

And dude atleast make us have some luck, we are getting fucked up over n over.
>>
>>5891748
>We executed Prince Yasvosh of Bohosta Island
Uh, I was bit unclear there as well, there is more subtext.
Yasvosh has no connection to the lords of Bohosta Island, as the Lords of Bohosta island are human minority, while Bohostans are horsemen majority. Yasvosh was a landless pretender, so he has no powerful relatives.

So, the lord of Bohosta Island gives no fucks about Yasvosh, as he was some random rebel.

>Is the Duchy of Nitaberia still alive?
Duke of Nitaberia switched sides once your uncle took Phermo, as he had no armies left, and he didn't feel like leaving his palace.

>If he and his son Epohich are dead, the old agreement is no longer in effect.
Epohich is still with you despite his father switching his side. He says he never liked his uncle, and want you to help him reclaim Nitaberia and oust his dad.

>Did our sister marry his 3rd son already or was he waiting until after we took down the island first?
Your sister had no time to marry, and has now been captured by your uncle who is preparing to marry her, to strengthen his claim.

So we would have helped overthrow the real lords of Bohosta Island or been bullshitted ourselves. That could have been cool.

Fuck the Duke then. Help Epohich overthrow his dad.

This fucking guy, he just doesn't stop with his bullshit. We have to kill our uncle and stop the marriage.

Send our wife immediately.

>>5895009
I think this guy might have just responded to the wrong posts.

The Wrothians agree to be vassals and send 5 legions. You now have 28 legions.

You send the your wife to Bohosta Island, and its lords agree to an additional 2 legions. You now have legions.

After hearing about you being equally matched, your uncle orders sacking of Phermo and retreat from Nitaberia hoping to raise additional legions.

As you arrive in Phermo you find it burned, and your scouts report your uncle had laid waste to all of Nitaberia and poisoned every well.
If you continue marching, it is estimated through Nitaberia, you will between 1 and 12 legions to attrition.
You could use ships to transport your troops, but you can only transport 10 legions at a time, allowing your uncle to possibly defeat them in detail.
In theory, you could take a detour through Tholatian Patrimony, but would give your uncle time to raise additional legions
Hope I didn't miss anything
>>
>>5895993
Let's go through Tholatia, that way atleast we don't lose any legions.

OR, we could narch through the sacked regions but with some help :

Let's spread the word that if traders/merchants/peasants/officials withdraw their support for your uncle they will get rewards.
For example :

>Openly declaring no support for uncle makes them eligible of no taxes for 2 years.

>Open disagreement and sending resources for an entire legion equals 5 years of no taxes(just make them have profit, if 5 years don't pay then uncrease the time.)

> Open disagreement, sending resources for 5 legions/Providing armed men for the army equals 20 years of no taxes.

> Providing an entire 4 legions or more, equals a noble peerage and and no taxes for 25 years.

Since I don't know the cost of maintaining legions or the tax amounts, just make it so that those who help eventually end up in profit but our economy too doesn't end up in heavy debt or loss.
>>
>>5896100
I agree.

>>5895993
Nice. These guys are starting to piss me off. Send our wife as a diplomat to Gethalian Confederation asking for support against our uncle.

How the fuck is this guy still not seen as a bad man, leader, and countryman? "I have to kill my nephew because I want to be king and in order to due that, I raised an army against my bloodkin, tried to marry my dead King/brother's widow, didn't pay her ransom once she was kidnapped, killed a ton of my 'subjects', now trying to marry my niece once the former widow ran away, fled a territory I conquered, proceeded to sack the territory whose leader switched sides to delay said nephews march against me WHILE LITERALLY POISONING THE WELLS, and come begging for more help." Why are people still following this dude What the fuck is our spy doing? Let's try to meet him, make him reiterate the above, and have him explain how people are taking our uncle's claim seriously.

Tell Epohich we'll overthrow his dad and install him after we deal with our uncle for what he did.
>>
>>5896523
Yeah dude like seriously, I mean we don't even need to distribute shit for the people to turn against this filthy lil bastard.

>Hype the fuckin Minotaur by saying how our uncle is gonna marry our sister forcefully and have the mfucker give more legions, I wanna betray that greedy retard(like seriously you provide men and you think you can marry in the royal household of Holy Daunifian Empire, plus also take land)

Come here QM deliver us our wishes, and no cuckoldrythis time
>>
>>5896523
Gethals are willing to send 10 legions to support you, if you agree to turn West Aharia into a buffer state between you, with West Aharia's marques being promoted to a king and taking a Gethalish bride.

As you march through Tholatia arrive in Isecho, you meet your spy, who informs you your uncle strength is now 30 legions.

He also says that he has fortified Bistra and stocked it with food, so that even if he loses the battle, he can hold out for at least 3 years.

He also mentions he has prepared a plot to assassinate your uncle, but it has only 50% chance of working, and if fails he is likely going to use it as propaganda and acquire an additional 5 legions.

While your tax reliefs would be welcomed by the people, most people are terrified of the new emperor, after he laid waste to Nitaberia.

Your uncle is preparing to marry your sister within few days. You could technically to meet him field, or assassinate him.
>>
>>5898994
All right. What about the rumors? Have they had any effect or has the spy not been spreading them because we haven't met with him before now? Spread the rumors now after he gets back. Ask the spy if he can try to free our sister instead. Killing him via assassination may make him a martyr... to someone.

We have to fight our uncle now. Our sister will not marry him.

Deny the Gethals. Thank them for the offer, but says it is not enough for what they are asking.

Send our wife to Azincia or an intermediary to pay the ransom for our stepmother/half-brother.

Assure the populace you are the one true emperor and will punish the pretender.

You choose to fight your uncle near Bistra.

Fitting song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfGe07IzsK4

The battle begins with you taking heavy losses, our of options you personally lead a charge towards your uncle with your best men, and come very close of reaching him, while you are beaten back, your uncle is shocked about the experience and abandons the fields without ordering a retreat, hoping that his commanders are able to finish the battle without him.

However, seeing their emperor abandon them, causes a rout, many drop their weapons and run away, it turns into a stampede.
Duke of Nitaberia is slain
Grand Duke of Phycebia successfully withdraw to Bistra
Marques of Vatchia is captured

After the battle you down to only 10 legions, while your uncle has 5 legions in Bistra.

Marques of Vatchia demands a pardon.

Your uncle appears in front of the gate with your sister, and proclaims ultimatum, he wants to be made independent king of Vatchia and keep your sister as hostage. Otherwise he is going to execute your sister and siege out, he also says something about a great Yusian Fleet coming to his aid.

Your wife returns from Azincia with your stepmother and half-brother.

Your spy says he has spread rumors but people are still scared.
>>
>>5900848
The good Marques of Vatchia will pay restitution for the rest of his miserable life. He will be stripped of his title, lands seized, fortunes taken, and thrown in a dungeon for turning his back against the rightful King.

>Bistra
Yeah, he made three mistakes.
1. Going against us
2. Threatening our sister
3. Doing this in Bistra, OUR domain

Have our spy free our sister. Once he does, we attack and finally kill off our uncle. Either way, he will die.

>Your wife returns from Azincia with your stepmother and half-brother.
I don't know what to do with them. Talk I suppose.
DO NOT MARRY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

Declare Epohich the new Duke of Nitaberia
>>
>>5900926
I've got it. Have her publicly withdraw her's and our brother's claims to throne, backing us instead, and denouncing our uncle.
>>
>>5900926
>Support,

Also just ask some commander of his to turn against him and for that you will be giving him the title of Marques of Vatchia.

Question:

>1.) What happened to our Minotayr Plot, did we get rid of the greedy monster or not ?

>2.) The status of the tax discount program, haa anyone offered to help ?
>>
>>5901997
>>1.) What happened to our Minotayr Plot, did we get rid of the greedy monster or not ?
no, you still set to give them a fief

>>2.) The status of the tax discount program, haa anyone offered to help ?
civil war is still open, so rather hard to manage

>>5900926
Your spy successfully rescue your sister and you assault the city.
After more fighting the city finally gives in and you capture your uncle.

FINALLY. PUNCH THIS FUCKER IN THE GUT!
He will be formally charged with crimes against the kingdom. We will talk first, to see what he was doing, what's going on with that fleet that's supposed to come, then kill him personally.

Begin reconstruction efforts, starting with Vuatho, then Nitaberia.

Pay out the fief to Prince Alevos 2nd, the land and our sister.

Bring a council together of the Lords who supported and didn't support us. Praise the ones who did, punish the ones who didn't.
Find out what's going around the empire and figure out a general plan going forward in our kingdom and on the world stage.

Hold a huge, solemn celebration.

Talk with our family, including stepmother, to see what their thoughts are.
>>
>>5902415
> Support again, except The Alevos matter.

Make Alevos agree on something else or just get rid of him, he has given only 10 legions and in turn has taken a Royal princess and a third of our capital domain, it ain't fair.
>>
>>5902415
The war has spooked us. If we had died, we wouldn't have a heir to continue on. Start procreating with our wife.

But one heir isn't even. We need more. Is there anything against concubines in the setting?

Commission a warhammer for Prince Alevos 2nd in celebration of the victory we achieved. Strongly hint for a Minotaur blacksmith's daughter as a return gift to be a concubine. Big, strong, able to bear children, and share secrets of the forge with us.

Thank the lord of West Aharian for his service and coming to us in our hour of need. Commission golden greaves for him. Ask for a long, thin, dainty, white furred rabbit woman concubine, for elegance in diplomacy at home and abroad.

Find the second-highest ranking pure-blooded Vatchen and promote him to Marquis, with a bronze breastplate. Acknowledge he had no choice and to find the roundest, smartest, smoothest glistening furred, big toothed daughter of Vatchen to be our concubine. She will be the head librarian and chief strategist.

Find a worthy Phucebisian to replace our uncle. Thank his people for their service and commission him a helmet of onyx.

Thank the lord of Bohostan for his kindness and commission silver boots. Ask for the swiftest maiden of his land to serve as both our concubine and royal communications, both public and private(spies).

Honor our promise to Tholatish and provide what they asked for.

Now that the war is over, we can really look into running the empire.
What resources do we have?
What is our technology level at?
Is there magic?
What do the other nations of the world think of us?
How long would it take to mount a war against the Gethalian Confederation?
How many ships do we have available to patrol the seas and guard the coast?
How many legions do we have left?
Are we able to muster more for defense and/or reconstruction purposes?
How much money do we have?
What sort of advisors do we have?
Are the roads any good?
Are there bandits plaguing the land?
Is there an adventurer guilds?
What is the economy like?
Can we hire people to help?
Is a lot of this background and automated?

What are we doing for the quest now that our uncle is dead? What is the state of the Seven Peers of the Realm?
>>
>>5902466
Sucks to suck, but we would have lost without him.
It's not right to renege on a deal, especially with a fellow prince when you're only as good as your word on the world stage.
>>
>>5902494
>with a fellow prince
Fellow royalty now.
>>
>>5902466
>>5902494
>>5902496
Okay. Let's ask if he'll take Phucebish in exchange for the royal domain instead, but we're still giving him our sister.

>>5902491
>Find a worthy Phucebisian to replace our uncle. Thank his people for their service and commission him a helmet of onyx.
Misread Phugmark as Phucebish

Find a worthy Daunifian from Phugmark to replace our uncle. Thank his people for their service and commission him a helmet of onyx.
>>
>>5902502
Fuck this is a mess.
Take a slightly older member of royalty, very bushy tailed concubine from South Tholatia before handing it to Tholatia Patriomony to be our spy master(instead of the Bohostan), to show there are no hard feelings for harboring our stepmother, and keep a line open to their people.
>>
>>5902502

>But one heir isn't even. We need more. Is there anything against concubines in the setting?
No, so you can.

You acquire a minotaur, horse, rabbit, beaver concubine.
Because empire is run by humans who consider other races lower, they are upset about your choices of concubines.

>What resources do we have?
Nothing much you are broke, and most cities were damaged.

>What is our technology level at?
medievalquee

>What is our technology level at?
no

>What do the other nations of the world think of us?
Your rival, Great Yusian Kingdom is angry because they spent a fortune in supporting your uncle hoping to install a puppet.
Minotaur Despot is happy that you took his troublesome son off his back, Gethals are neutral.
Phucebisian are happy the civil war didn't spread to their territory.

>How long would it take to mount a war against the Gethalian Confederation?
Long, Gethal are expert seamen, and their area size is size of two Greenlands.

>How long would it take to mount a war against the Gethalian Confederation?
Only handful

>How long would it take to mount a war against the Gethalian Confederation?
10

>Are we able to muster more for defense and/or reconstruction purposes?
if you find the funds

>Are we able to muster more for defense and/or reconstruction purposes?
Empire's annual income is 10 million gold, you have only 500 gold, and building one legion costs 5 million gold

>What sort of advisors do we have?
You have a chancelor, steward, treasurer, and constable, chamberlain

>What sort of advisors do we have?
Major cities have road

>What sort of advisors do we have?
There are similar guerilla group similar to the Bohostan rebels you defeated

>What sort of advisors do we have?
no

>What is the economy like?
Southern bits of the empire are wealthy, while northern are poor, Nitaberia used to be wealthy, thanks to your uncle is now in very poor state. Eastern parts are also wealthy.

>Can we hire people to help?
if you afford it

>Is a lot of this background and automated?
background, I haven't much thought into it

>>5903051
