When we started we jumped to level 3 in both Summon and Bind, that tells me we started as a dedicated summoner. We also have a fat file of deceased to fall back on and know it well enough to pick out people when we need them.
Also our actions in dealing with the punk knuckleduster kid and Clarissa tells me we pay due to the dead and the tips we leave to our living keep people liking us.
Can we assume we have some other 'free ghost' floating about we have connections with? Kind of like the punk kid but maybe not nearly as loyal? Maybe some old deceased family members or favored thugs who died at our side and who stick around to help their old buddy Duke?
This could possibly manifest as an extra pair of eyes and ears on us. Even if it costs some energy to keep a loose ghost around, I think it's a good idea to just have a favored ghost (as 'free' and 'cheap' as possible) watching our back to let us know if, say the man in the brown vest has been staring at you for a little longer than is comfortable.
This wouldn't give us any combat advantage, I don't think, but it would give us a 'bonus to Initiative' as we'd have an extra pair of eyes and ears to alert us to danger.
What do you all think? Ellington?
Can/Should we burn some energy to keep a watchdog looking over our shoulders?
If so, should he/she be a family member, lover, favored thug, or what?
Don't be afraid to veto this idea, Ellington. We don't want Duke getting overpowered. |
