I am going to create me a science fiction setting via the notoriously pedantic method of defining an environment and the resources available therein, then creating some migrating populations and their starting resources and extrapolating the result of their migration into the previously mentioned environment.

I had even fired up ye olde random star system generator to start churning out some space geography when I figured that it might be both fun and interesting to do instead enlist the help of /tg/.

Please help me to populate my map with stars /tg/.

To do this simply specify a grid reference then give the name of the star system, the number of stars in the system and as well as the names of each star and their classification. Other stellar objects like pulsars will also be accepted. If you want to name features on the starfield I will consider that too.

I will update the map if there is actual interest.

    >>15724250
Also if you want a binary or trinary system it is helpful to say whether they are close or distant companions, also giving the number part of the classification helps too.

    Mirkneer Nebula

    Grid (5,6), (5,7), (6,6), and (6,7).
Large nebula surrounding one medium white dwarf star. Two planets, and an elliptical asteroid belt.
The planet closest to the star, named Daniir, is superheated, and is molten on whatever side faces the sun on that particular day.
The second planet, named Faniir is farther away, at a distance that makes the overall temperature slightly warmer than our Mars, making it suitable for enclosed colonies. As of yet there is no life on the surface, however there are several large underground oceans, each filled with bacteria and alien plankton.

Faniir has little to no ore availiable, however Daniir is rich with metals and metalloids of all kinds.
The asteroid belt is extremely elliptical, and is located just outside the orbit of Faanir.

You need 2 extra copies of the grid layer, set the origional to normal blend mode, 5% opacity, set the second to overlay 100% opacity. 3-5 point gaussian blur on the third, also set to overlay at 100% opacity.

It was beast because I wanted a not faster than light campaign (did not want to fuck around with warp speed logic) but wanted a fuckton of locations.

In total there was 29 livable planets within the system. more than halve of them were around gas giants within a star green zone.

Most of the campaign was about finding that most of the planet were terraformed, and that the whole planet system was artificially made to order. Most of that information had been lost to the eon of time (more than once)

OP here. I'm back. Still in need of stars, please save your planets for later.

A couple of them for sure, but some of those are so fucking gay it hurts me to read the descriptions of them.

OP have you ever thought about making it diaspora style? Just make a cluster with the help of diaspora. Then another and another. maybe connect them to mega clusters

I have absolutely no interest in using this system as there are equally satisfactory automatic processes available to me and using that would totally defy the point of making this thread to begin with.

It is also formatted like shit and reads like it was written by a homosexual teen vampire novelist.

J29 Oblivion Gate. Which is a red dwarf in a elliptical orbit around a black hole.
