I mean, Finn and Jake are basically what you'd get if you split Luffy's traits across two people and made them best friends. Jake getting his powers and most of his downsides and Finn getting his adventurous personality.

Note, Vivi's father was a member of the World Government, and Luffy helped him. Luffy doesn't really hate the World, he just loves freedom.

The biggest problem with Bleach is End of Hypnosis. It's one of the best plot twists of all time, and because of that Bleach hit it's peak really early. In comparison it's all downhill from there, even if the quality stays roughly constant with the rest of the series.

The second biggest problem was Szayel Aporro Grantz. Thank you for taking a long arc and grinding it to an absolute halt. Fuck your couch.

The new world (The next part of the journey) is fucking weird. The last few episodes highlighted that a few times - Stuff like thunder rain (as in: It rains thunderbolts) and places where you can just walk through the air. That's why we get a timeskip - The party has to prepare for that fucked up place. I don't think using flight would be a viable methode for going through.
It also explains why Rayleigh could just swim in between islands on the grand line - He was in the new world, so this is piece of cake in comparison.

It's about a kilometre high. It's not a mountain - It's a fuckhuge cliff. There's no way to make a basecamp along the way or something. And even if you reach up there, you can bet your ass that there will be *something* waiting to devour you (Just for the sake of plot).

A Log Pose (記録指針（ログポース） Kiroku Shishin (Rogu Pōsu)?, literally translated as "Logbook Compass Needle") is a compass-like navigational device; a necessity for traveling the Grand Line. It is a wrist watch with a glass orb sitting on top, and a needle floating inside the middle of that orb suspended from the top by a thin piece of metal or wire. Normal compasses don't work in the Grand Line due to the special magnetic waves created from each island. The Log Pose functions by recording the magnetic wave of an island in the Grand Line, and points to the next island for the user to travel to. How long it would take to lock onto the magnetic waves varies from island to island. Pirate King just means conquering the Grand Line. There's been no indication that you NEED to get to One Piece. They seem to be strongly connected, but not quite the same.

Basically, people want to get to Raftel to conquer the Grand Line. No-one we've seen actually wants the treasure left there.

What exactly goes into being a Pirate King, though, that makes claiming One Piece so important? Is it the respect involved? Is it that the effort involved in getting it is so great, the other pirates will be too scared to cross you? Do you just need a lot of treasure to buy your way into the position? Hell, once you BECOME a pirate king, what kind of duties or benefits does that role entail? Seems weird that pirates would bend the knee very easily by their very nature.

And the other half of the reason End of Hypnosis being the high point of the series is a problem. There's pretty much no way you can interact with the series at all without it being spoiled.

Even if you somehow don't go in knowing Aizen is the villain, you'll know he's alive or even that there are traitors. It happened over 6 years ago in a continuing series, it's been spoiled for everyone.

At the time Aizen was that guy with glasses who died to show there was serious business going down on the sidelines, Gin was involved somehow, Tousen was that black guy who hangs out with Big Helmet Guy, and it was completely believable that the series would end within 2-3 volumes of Ichigo beating Byakuya.
