03/06/12(Tue)00:49 No.18222334You blearily take stock while Tanker is taking his time. ...Wow. Damn. You're almost at a full 60% charge just from that. It certainly felt like it was worth it.
He's getting close, picking up speed. Not this time, damn it. You lean forward, your heels feeling hot as you offload the energy.
And then, all in an instant, the slam of wrenching metal, a shock running through your whole body, a loud crackle, before your eyes can catch up. Motion, a sudden lurch of dizziness, a loud crash. By the time you process what's happening, you realize you're palm-to-palm with Tanker, having pushed him sheer through the wall he had just weakened. He's holding his footing, but the long furrows he stands in tell you he literally dug in his heels the whole way.
And he's grinning. Not smirking, not smiling, but a wide, hungry, eager grin.
And then your shoulders both make faint pops, and your grip slackens.
He hurls you clear again, right back through the hole you made. He's advancing on you, crunching over the debris, when Dodo jumps out, arms extended.
"Whoa, whoa! Spar over, Anode caught some damage in his arms."
After a long, intense moment, Tigershark literally towering over Dash, his posture droops.
"Okay, okay." He throws you another sharp-fanged grin. "That surprised me, kid. Not bad. Not bad at all."
"Excuse me," comes a small, tinny voice. You all turn to regard the Toolcircuit--a giant shark, a little bird, and a man with two buzzing shoulders. "That does not look like testfiring your weapon."
